My husband, my mother, my dog and I stayed in this condo for two months (Nov-Jan). It was perfect for all of us! No steps or stairs for my 84 year old mom with a new knee, and the owner is a dog lover who was comfortable with us having our dog for that period of time. The location, in the Village of Oak Creek, worked for us and when we visited Sedona for church, souvenir shopping, etc. we traveled one of America's most scenic roadways through the magnificent Red Rocks along Rt. 179. My hubby and I hiked 8 different trails during our time and really enjoyed the surroundings. Canyon Mesa Country Club is meticulously well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped although a new stove should be considered. Any small problems that came up were quickly handled by Pat N., the owner's property mgr. The price is certainly reasonable for the Sedona area. This was a perfect place for those of us with mobility issues and/or pets. We plan on returning.
We were very happy with this condo. It was a large condo, with a wonderful back patio with a view of bell rock and the courthouse (rock). The kitchen was well equipped. It was a comfortable large space. Also, the pool was very close - private and lovely. On top it was a great value. The location worked out well - being South of Sedona, near red rocks and away from traffic. We hiked every day.
Thank you Mike and Betsy for the use of your condo. It had everything we needed. We are so happy we found your place. The grounds and pool area are so well kept. The ten days went by so fast. We enjoyed hiking the trails, Tlaquepaque, Slide Rock Park, Verde Canyon train ride and a day trip to the Grand Canyon. The landscape is amazing. We hope to return someday.
We only had 3 days in Sedona, but had a great time. The condo was roomy for 4 adults, so nice to be able to cook our meals in a full kitchen. Disappointed that the pool and hot tub were not open yet, even though the weather was in the 80's. It was a very quiet area, beautifully manicured grounds, living room furniture could use some updating. We were surprised there were not enough dishes for 4 people, but the day we left one person in our party opened the dishwasher to see that the dishwasher had not been unloaded, there were plenty of dishes. Another treat was having a Red Rock pass to use while we were there. Our next visit to Sedona we will check with Mike to see if the condo is available.
So glad we stayed for a month!! So much to do and see and the location of this condo was very appealing. VOC has everything you need within walking distance.Take in the extreme beauty that surrounds this area as you explore where the shops are.
After a full day of adventures, all over the Sedona area, it was a pleasure to come "home" to this wonderful unit. So peaceful , beautiful surroundings and manicured grounds.
Mike and Betsy simplified the entire process of renting this unit. They were a pleasure to do business with and honest in all aspects. Always friendly to answer any questions.
Stayed 5 days with 2 friends and had a great time hiking surrounding areas. Ran into some condo issues and passed them along to the owners in private email upon returning home but never heard back from them. Since many items are repeated in other posts, it appears that the work needed doesn't get good attention. In an effort to be fair, the price was just about the best in the area for the unit size and location, and with some TLC it could be a really nice place to hang. The kitchen was very well equipped, but we had to buy cleaners, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. So here goes: Master bedroom & bath on street side where noise and privacy are an issue. Pretty musty, dusty and nasty upon arrival. Had to air unit and remove rugs. Much improved after buying cleaning supplies and scrubbing/mopping and rolling all area rugs up and putting them outside (but who wants to clean on their vacation). Due to pet hair and grunginess, used sheets to fashion slip covers for the living room furniture before we were comfortable sitting on them. Many vertical blinds broken or missing creating privacy issue, light covers missing, window screen bent & gaping, bathroom carpet scary, dirty walls and baseboards, etc. All minor stuff that could be easily fixed with some effort. Biggest deal for us...Pool/hot tub was closed! Suggest posting hot tub/pool opening and closing info in ad. Came to hike and selected this unit, in part, for the hot tub to soak sore muscles....serious bummer!
On the positive side: Good location for home base to explore, felt safe, quiet in the evenings, nice size and layout, & fabulous Italian restaurant near by...Cuchina Rustica I think it was called. I won't rent here again since the owner didn't respond to initial personal feedback (suggests lack of interest), but if they listened and cleaned it up, it would be just dandy.
