Wonderful relaxing experience

The owners / our hosts (Monica, Inga, and Enrico) were wonderful. They made sure our stay was comfortable and helped in any which way possible. My husband broke his wrist prior to arriving at Villa Pomona, and the owners escorted us to a nearby hospital and made sure he was able to get proper medical attention.
The farm has been in the family for centuries; and staying there would give you a totally Tuscan experience. It is a short distance from Siena, other Chianti attractions, and small cities with great sightseeing and eating places. Driving from Florence or other nearby cities would give you a good tour of the Chianti region.
The apartment is very old since it is part of the original winery, but it is clean, equipped with basic cooking and dining utensils, shared washer, and comfortable bedding. And if you need anything else, just ask the wonderful hosts! The pool is great for hot summer days to cool off before or after sightseeing.
If you are looking for a practical for a family with kids and less expensive place, this is ideal. Otherwise, if you are seeking somewhere luxurious and modern, look elsewhere.
