The Potter Street in the historic center of Stendal, concealed by bulging walls, is surrounded by perfectly preserved jewel of the northern brick Gothic. In the past there were the potters of the city at home, hence the name of our two adjacent houses with a common, sunny and quiet courtyard: Holiday House in Töpferhof! The house itself is small, but special. The preservation of the city makes for solid wood windows and clay tiles with Bauzen and we even pay attention to natural materials and have oak floors in the EC, Brandenburg pine in the attic and weatherproof larch wood used for the courtyard facade. Clay plaster and timber (including the newly restored traditional way is connected only by wooden pegs!) Provide an authentic ambiance. The ground floor is a wood stove, central heating is quite modern in the solar system plus gas powered. The location is ideal: quiet side street, sunny courtyard ... right in the small town center.
Larger groups ...: ... find us also Place: Book but the second house on Töpferhof (apartment directly No. 536 418) the same time! The adjacent houses have access to communal courtyard. They are also in EC and attic by soundproof, normally closed doors together. If you rent both houses, we can open those doors for you, too! Our third house in Tangermünde is the most inches Elbfischerhäuschen riser 11 (apartment directly No. 536 417). It is located about 400 meters and can accommodate up to 9 people.
The Terra Incognita, uncharted no man's land is located halfway between Wolfsburg and Berlin. Too far for an afternoon outing, too far from the sea, from the Alps, the highway. It so happens that the northern Saxony-Anhalt has many foreign visitors than the Moon. This is a shame because that very few ever get to know Tangermünde. A few years ago when it was still the old Elbe Bridge, tangierte some road users, the 10th 000-inhabitant city on the Elbe, and today leads an elegant ring road bridge a few miles away over the flooded meadows and the wide river, and Tangermünde dreams a thousand years of sleep. Because the city is so old, and in 2009 was celebrated the millennium. Yet the city is not soooo sleepy, but surprise visitor in the breathtakingly beautiful scenery with a very distinctive and very contemporary charm. It's no coincidence that our little house has been a number of regulars!
