Quaint but smaller than expected

We recently stayed here with my family. The accommodation is tasteful decorated and the view is great. NOT RECOMMENDED to anyone with small children or cannot walk up lots of steps, the elevator was scary and not working most of the time. The property pictures are accurate, but again smaller than expected. The property was a little dusty, but well stocked. Very good location near town. Recommend Zia Cafe for dinner. Groceries are expensive as is Santa Fe in general.

Owner's Response: If you read all of our many reviews over the past six years, we pride ourselves on a well-maintained and comfortable home-away-from-home. But with any property, things can go wrong, so we are always appreciative of guests who inform us of any problems right away so we can attend to them immediately. All guests know the email and phone numbers of our caretaker who is available 24 hours a day to attend to anything that in any way diminishes the quality of our guests' experience. He lives 10 minutes from the condo and never hesitates to respond to our guests' needs. Most find our place ideal for their Santa Fe stay. We rented in this complex a half dozen times, finding it well run and the location convenient to all of Santa Fe, but when we found this particular condo, we knew we had to buy it.
We've contacted the homeowner's association regarding the elevator and are assured that it will receive immediate attention. An elevator repairman and the homeowner's association are also available 24 hours a day to respond to any building problems that arise. In the future, we hope that all guests will let the caretaker know immediately when anything is not working.
Our unit is thoroughly cleaned before each new tenant arrives and had a thorough professional top-down cleaning (including air ducts and all walls cleaned) in September. Some dust can always appear within hours of cleaning, however, because Santa Fe is in a high desert area.
Santa Fe is also a world-renowned tourist area; expenses compare favorably to similar areas, and are in fact somewhat less than comparable areas on either coast. We provide guests with a list of casual, inexpensive places to eat as well as high end, places to buy fresh and local food as well as regular groceries nearby, and there is a library of materials in the condo for places to go and things to do in this intimate but culturally rich city.
We invite you to read all of our reviews and visit us soon--and call us if you have any concerns or questions. We look forward to being your hosts.
