Because of its beautiful and diverse environment, Bergen is a popular holiday destination. It takes a 10 minute drive from Hoeve Marjul to the beach of Bergen aan Zee. It is lovely to stroll along the shore or relax on the beach. On the beach are several beach bars. Just to the north of Bergen aan Zee are the dunes of Schoorl. This extended nature area has the highest and widest dunes of Holland. Throughout this area are many bike and hiking trails. In Bergen village itself is a lot to experience. In addition to many terraces and restaurants there are many places of interest and regular craft markets, annual music festivals, as well as the 'Holland Music Sessions' in August and 'Jazz & Sail' in the first weekend of September; the 'Kunst10daagse' in October. Other attractions include the 'Zeeaquarium' in Bergen aan Zee, the Auto Union classic car museum and the Museum Kranenburg
