Gaucin Vacation Rental apartment: Gaucin

Although Josefi's house is described as 'right on the edge of the village', you are less than 2 minutes from the closest supermercado (of which there are three) and even closer to the nearest café. The central plaza is maybe a 5 minute stroll and there are many bars offering tasty tapas and raciones, as well as a few restaurants offering Spanish and international cuisine.
It is ideally placed to fit in trips to Cadíz, Jerez and even Sevilla in a day but there are many closer towns worth a visit less than an hour's drive including Ronda and Tarifa.
The house is spacious and comfortable (although the kitchen is a tight squeeze if you are planning to do a lot of cooking) and with two en suite bathrooms, ideal when travelling with two grown up daughters. The pool (which is a good size for a Gaucín property) is a much appreciated bonus if you are arriving in the heat of the summer. The location is quiet with very easy parking, a major bonus in Gaucín!
As with many of the houses in Gaucín, you wake to the most stunning views across the Sierra de Crestallina, Gibraltar and over to the Rif mountians in Morocco. This is our second stay at Casa de Aguila (and fifth visit to Gaucín) and friends to whom we recommended it have also returned. It may not have a dishwasher or a microwave but it has everything else including Josefi, with her warm welcome and represents the best value for money in Gaucín.
