Surfing Costa Rica: Nosara is noted as being one of the best surfing spots in Latin America. The surf is great whether you’re a pro or just getting started. The surf is a beach break with a gentle slope. The closer waves are 1-2 feet high and a terrific place to learn (both my 8 and 11 year olds learned here). The outer waves range from head high to 3X. The slope is so slight you can walk out 100 yards and still be in waist high water. This is great for kids and beginners.
