We know you have lots of excellent villas to choose from, so this initial paragraph describes only the particular features which we believe are unique to our villa. Hopefully, if these features are important to you, then our villa may be worthy of your further consideration.

Naturally, the villa has all the usual luxury and excellent features and facilities you have the right to expect, but what makes our villa different is:

---FIRSTLY, that none of the terrace, BBQ, or pool areas, are overlooked, nor do they overlook any other properties.

---SECONDLY, there are no other properties in front of the villa, nor immediately to the right, or the left, of the villa. There's a good restaurant, and a villa to the rear, but they don't affect our privacy.

---THIRDLY, there is a short, flat walk into the village (please note that a short part of the road has no footpath).

---And FINALLY, there are uninterrupted views of an unblemished wooded hillside across the valley opposite the villa.

We will of course, provide you with clear directions to the villa from whatever airport you choose and, if you wish, we will arrange to have our excellent and friendly agents, Jim & Samantha, meet you when you arrive, show you around the villa, and also demonstrate how everything works. They live closeby and will also be very happy to help you out with any problems, questions, or queries, you might have during your stay. They will, of course, also respect your privacy during your stay. There is no charge for this service.

NEARBY FACILITIES:

*Restaurants: - Two very good restaurants 'La Jovita' and 'Can Tia' are literally five minutes flat walk from the villa (but please note that a short part of the road has no footpath and great care need to be taken - it would not be suitable for taking young children or pushchairs.). The four-star restaurant 'La Figuera', is situated on the hill just behind the villa, a few minutes away by car. There are, of course, many other excellent restaurants within close driving distance

*Supermarkets:- There are two excellent, large supermarkets in the village 'Spar', and 'Suma' both within 5 minutes drive

*Golf: - There are 8 excellent golf courses within easy reach of the villa. If golf is something you're particularly interested in, we can provide you with all the comprehensive course websites.

*Other Facilities: - The village also has all the normal butcher and baker shops, banks, a rotisserie, pharmacy, medical centre, internet cafe, and a very good weekly street market. The nearby active local fishing port of Palamos sells fresh fish.

Casa Oriol is an oasis of calm and tranquility. The photos only allow a glimpse of what the villa really has to offer - we are delighted to have had the opportunity to stay.



The villa is a credit to Doug & Barbara - right from the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice for our holiday on the Costa Brava. Immaculate, well equipped, clean, and with extras we have never had at villas we have stayed at before.



The pool and gardens were outstanding and were a particilar favourite of our 3 year old, who spent so much time wandering around the many hidden paths and exploring the areas, finding snails, stick insects, lizards, and much more !



The weather was spectacular except for two dull days, and the children visited the very handy park area next door.



We walked into Calonge, visited Sant Antoni beach, Platja D'Aro, Palafrugell, LLafranc and Begur, all equally good.

We are a couple in our late fifties, have been married for 35 years, (where did it go!), with two sons who have now left home, and we think ourselves very lucky indeed to own such a beautiful villa in such a beautiful part of the world.

Before building our villa in Calonge six years ago, we knew that we wanted our villa to be in a location:- where we could walk into the local village - which was not overlooked - was on a large, flat plot - was south-facing - and which had lovely uninterrupted views!

It was a very tall order and we had to spend many years waiting for exactly the right location to become available but, in the end, the exclusive development of 'Puig Rosell', became available, and we were lucky enough to be on the spot to snap up exactly the location we had always dreamed of.

WONDERFUL VILLA

The villa descriptions themselves do not provide an insight into the attention to detail the owners have put into the accomodation and making your holiday as comfortable as possible. It is immaculately clean, extremely well equipped (both in the kitchen and living areas), the outside facilities have something for everyone and it's location is perfect, being in a quiet neighbourhood, not overlooked but still close enough to walk to all amenities (including the beach, if you prefer a longer stroll). The "meet and greet" service which is provided free of charge was very good and provided a local point of contact should you need it. Having WiFi throughout was excellent. The owners provide a comprehensive manual about the villa, the area, the services, what's going on etc etc. They are also very infomative and helpful prior, during and after your vacation. For anyone looking for a quality villa at a reasonable price to rent in this area, this property is perfect.

BEAUTIFUL VILLA IN WONDERFUL LOCATION

This is a very special well presented and equipped villa in a stunning garden setting with an excellent swimming pool.
Located on a small estate only a few minutes drive from San Antoni, a family resort with nice promenade,good restaurants and an excellent beach.
The property was well maintained and the local manager was very helpful during our stay, as was Douglas, the owner.
We hope to return next year !

A LOVELY, WELL-EQUIPPED VILLA.

An excellent house built in a secluded spot. The house is very well-equipped and in great order. The garden is quite lovely with a good pool, boule area & a wonderful hammock under a shaded gazebo. The local village is pretty and within easy walking distance. One of the nearest restaurants, La Jovita, we found to be excellent value at lunch time and very good. The owner of the house is most helpful, as is the local contact who looks after the house.

A FABULOUS 2 WEEK BREAK!

After a long journey down, it was great to be met and escorted directly to the villa. Sam was helpful and explained about the local area and made us feel very welcome.
The property was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed- the listing description was accurate too!
I would have no hesitation in recommending the villa - communicating with Doug the owner was a pleasure and nothing was too much trouble for him.
We did a small amount of sightseeing (our son was ill so only a few days towards the end of the second week. The doctor in Palamos listed in the villa information pack was good, fingers crossed you will not need one!) and visited Girona during the afternoon - it was quiet and great for photo opportunities. We chose to drive to Barcelona and this was easy - parked up at a multi storey in Montjuic (by the Parall-ell metro line.) Took the funicular up and then the cable car to Montjuic Castle - worth a visit. Then on to Camp Nou which was spectacular. We loved Barcelona but need to go back to do everything we missed this time!
Most of our holiday was spent chilling in the pool and relaxing in the house and grounds - bliss!

The villa is split level, south facing, set in large flat gardens, within a small and exclusive residential area.

This unique area of the Costa Brava remains unspoilt, and is characterised by green, lush rolling hillsides covered in evergreen cork, olive and oak. The villa terraces look out over one such hillside.

There are magnificent beaches, sandy coves, and historic coastal and inland villages to visit, all within easy driving distance. The local area also has beautiful coastal walks and countryside trails to enjoy.

There are plenty of activities for young people, including all the usual water-sports, plus cycling (there are two bikes at the villa), kayaking, snorkeling, horse riding, karting, quad-biking, and a large water park - all nearby.

It's also very easy to get to the wonderful cities of Barcelona, Girona and Perpignan for a day out, by train or car, and the beautiful and historic towns of La Bisbal, Besalu, Cadaques and Figueres, are even nearer.

Our agents live closeby and will provide you with a very friendly 'Meet and Greet' service to ensure you have a safe and easy arrival, and to familiarise you with the villa. (there is no charge for this).

You can also contact our friendly agents throughout your holiday, to ask for any help, information, or advice - and they will check and clean the pool at least twice a week for you. (again, there is no charge for this).

We provide you with a 'Welcome Pack' of wine, water, olives and nibbles - with our compliments.

Notes:
The villa has lots of external terrace lights, including underwater pool lighting, and this means that you can swim and/or have BBQ's late into the evening. Wireless broadband internet access is available for a reasonable weekly charge. There are two large portable upright fans to keep you cool indoors if the going gets a bit hot, and there are remote-control ceiling fans in all three bedrooms. The garden is large, planted with palms, cactus, shrubs, trees and groundcover, and is landscaped with pathways and stone walls, including a games area for boules or badminton (all equipment provided). There is also a large pergola built over a circular walled area which can be used for more alfresco eating, or sitting, or better still, hammocking, in the shade. Another feature of the garden is the large summerhouse, used mainly for storage. The villa is on a small prestigious residential development, is adjacent to a landscaped park area, which also has a small play area for infants nearby.
