Les Cinq Chenes is a spacious 3 bedroom villa set in private grounds with maintained pool and garden. Situated in the tiny village of Rouquecourbe among the vineyards of the Minervois region. This quiet village is mid way between Carcasonne, Narbonne and the Mediterranean beaches. The covered flood lit pool (7.7m by3.7m) is set in secluded back garden among fruit trees and lawn. This is a haven of peace and tranquillity away from the busy world where one can relax and hear the wild life among the trees especially at dusk. Landscaped front garden with bench for reliving the daily sejourns with a glass of vin from Chateau Roquecourbe. Ideally located for exploring Carcassonne's walled medieval city(20km) Canal du Midi(5km)Minervois - Corbieres vineyards, Narbonne(25km),Cathar Country, Golfe du Lion and Cote Vermeille. Because of its location it's easily accessible by air Carcassonne (20 mins), Toulouse, Montpellier, Perpignan & Gerona (all 90mins) Barcelona (3 hour).

Roquecourbe is a tiny village set among the vineyards. It is situated on the edge of the Minervois with the Montagne Noire to the north and the Corbieres to the south. This area experiences a micro climate with very pleasant weather. The nearest shops are in Puicheric (2km).The baker calls daily with fresh bread. The nearby Lezignan, Homps or Trebes which are on the Canal du Midi offer a good selection of shops & restaurants which we highly recommend. Everyday there is a market in one of the nearby villages. The beautiful walled medieval city of Carcassonne is 20 minutes away. Lac de La Cavayere is situated on the outskirts and pedal boats and swimming are available here. To the north a visit to the ancient city of Minerve is highly recommended. The beautiful Mediterranean beaches are located past Narbonne and further south is the African Reserve at Sigean where one can go on safari for a day! The Pyrenees are a 2 hour drive away.

Notes: Well equipped kitchen for cooking, includes: dishwasher and fridge freezer and ample crockery. The terrace is furnished for outdoor dining and barbecuing and the garden has 8 sun lounger’s and parasols. The covered pool is both safe and warm from early May to September. Across from house is a shaded play area with swings etc. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished. Duvets are provided for winter and light blankets for summer along with linen and towels including pool. There is ample storage in the bedrooms. The living room has comfortable leather couches and the house is tiled throughout. The dining area looks out onto the landscaped front garden with a variety of shrubs and flowers and the local vines beyond. Although situated in a village this new villa is completely private and is not overlooked allowing great space and freedom and privacy for couples and families alike. This really is a little piece of heaven. SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO A WEEK IS NOT LONG ENOUGH HERE IN ROUQUECOURBE!!

Villa near Carcassonne

Well equipped villa in small French village with very friendly French people to help out if required. Welcome pack on arrival which was a nice touch. Lovely covered pool which was comfortably warm and used every day. TV with French/British channels. A number of bikes in garage very useful to explore the local country side. Weather was hot and sunny which contributed to wonderful holiday.
Recommended Carcassonne stunning medieval city but very touristy. Minerve spectacular .

Relaxing property between vineyards

Our whole family was delighted with this holiday property in the Minervois region because we found everything included what we were looking for! The pool was the most important part during these shiny days and we enjoyed small local shops and markets nearby.
