APARTMENT, DIVING, BEACH, KRALENDIJK

We spend 3 glorious weeks on the island of Bonaire. Our hosts, Eadgar and Astrid made our stay all the more enjoyable. Their lovely house was centrally located near Kralendijk, but also provided easy access to the north end of the island (Rincon and Slagbaai National Park). We also rented their trusty old Pathfinder vehicle for the three weeks. It was a very reliable vehicle and allowed us to blend in as locals! The house was nicely furnished and the supplies in the kitchen allowed us to have a very budget-minded vacation since we prepared most of our meals at home. The house was clean and well-maintained and our hosts came in once a week to clean and change the sheets and towels. They coordinated these cleanings with our activity schedule and always respected our privacy. As a lesbian couple we have sometimes been subject to discrimination. Eadgar and Astrid were most welcoming to us and we shared many enjoyable conversations with them. They are truly warm and inclusive in their world views.

Eadgar and Astrid maintain a beautifully landscaped yard and we enjoyed sitting out on the veranda in the mornings sipping our coffee and listening to the chatter of the native parrots. This rental house also came equipped with wi-fi and cable. The house is located very near Captain Don's Habitat and a couple other fabulous snorkel sites. On days we felt like walking, we could easily get to these locations. The neighborhood was safe and quiet (and we have been to Bonaire numerous times and never had any issues with safety), and when we take our next vacation to Bonaire, we will not hesitate to book this property again!
