Since more than 10 years I take care of my guests that come from all over the world, many of them on a regular basis. My goal is to make your stay an inforgettable event of your life.

Tom purchased this apartment in 1999

The Latin Quarter is one of the most attractive areas of the French capital. It is located centrally but still keeps its original charme 'à la francaise' and Parisian flair.

The apartment is located in a quiet side street with almost no traffic. You enjoy a fabulous view to the green parc. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes, bistros, pubs and so on. Start your morning on the fresh market on Place Monge, just around the corner. Don't miss the freshly baked Baguette Tradionnelle at the popular French bakery in rue Lacepede. Meet friends for a coffee at one of the busy French Cafes on Place Contrescape before strolling along the historical Rue Mouffetard up to the famous Pantheon. Take a nice little walk in the pittoresque 'Jardin des Plantes' and take a tea with the original selection of arab biscuits in the Mosque nearby. Dinner on the roof of the museum for arabic arts & culture, with a magnificent enjoyable view on Paris by night (Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur...). Visit the vibrant night show in the Paradies Latin and explore 'La nuit a Paris' for lovers and life artists !

What a great place to stay for a vacation in Paris. The apartment was very clean. Nicely apointed. The pictures acurately reflect the accomidations. It is located on a quiet sidestreet on the first floor. The location is close to many restaurants and bars and bakeries. A grocery store is close by. A entrace to the Place Monge Subway station is 30 meters from the apartment. Walking to the Seine is about 10 minutes. We highly recommend this apartment.

This apartment was perfect : clean, neat, perfectly situated in a neighborhood I know well, but rediscovered. The apartment itself is quiet, elegant, and was more spacious than the pictures show. A gem!

Also, the owner was most helpful with arranging everything, even though this was a last-minute plan on our part, and was available for all our quandries. I would rent this apartment without any hesitations, and even look forward to coming back already.

A quiet, bucolic location in the heart of Paris

The apartment has a lot of charm, while having all the modern conveniences. The pictures and descriptions are accurate, and the place is very well maintained and extremely clean. What makes it unique is its location, on such a quiet, peaceful street, right in the middle of lively surroundings. It's a five minute walk to rue Mouffetard in one direction, and the Jardin des Plantes in the other. The metro line 7 whill whisk you to the Louvre, or the Garnier Opera. Bus 67 (on rue Linné) will take you to the Marais, and all the way to Pigalle and Montmartre. Bus 47 goes to Notre dame and Centre Pompidou. And the area around Place Monge is full of delicious food shops and cafés and restaurants. And do cross the street and visit the Jardin des Arènes de Lutèce. Quite unique! The owner, Tom, is very businesslike with the paperwork, but also sociable and helpful in person. If you arrive by subway with luggage, I would suggest you use the Place Monge exit with the escalators. There is a closer exit to the apartment Rue de Navarre, but with lots of stairs. All in all, a true gem of an apartment in the heart of Paris. I hope we'll get to stay there again and I highly recommend it.

April in Paris

My husband and I stayed in Tom’s wonderful apartment in mid April 2013 while on a one week vacation in Paris. We had never rented an apartment for a vacation and were not sure what we would find but were encouraged by the very positive on-line reviews on the Home Away web-site. We found Julie F and Ben R’s reviews particularly helpful as we planned for our trip. Tom’s timely responses to our e-mails and willingness to discuss logistics of the rental via cell phone made the process that much less stressful. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The apartment looked just as it had in the photos and Tom’s on-line listing description of the apartment was very accurate.

The apartment had everything we needed and everything functioned well. The living room was a little small (compared to American standards) but was just fine for the two of us. The bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen were good sized. The kitchen had a small table and two chairs. The place was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. We had plenty of towels and bed linen. The kitchen was well equipped for two and we enjoyed doing some cooking. Wi-Fi was easy to access and the TV worked well.

The apartment is on a quiet street across from a small park which encompasses an historic 1st century AD amphitheater. You can open the elegant, large windows of the apartment in the morning and look out at the park. The location was very convenient for getting around the city. If you like to see a city by walking as we do, you will enjoy the fact that both the St. Germain and the Marais areas are just a short walk away. If you prefer to travel by metro the #7 metro line is down the street and there is easy access to the #10 metro a couple of blocks away. We shopped at Carrefours, the local grocery store, several times and enjoyed going to one the many boulangerie in the evening for fresh bread. There are many cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood that are easily accessible.

Tom was a gracious host. Although he does not live locally, he met us when we arrived, gave us the key and showed us how everything worked. He made sure we had his cell phone number and email address. We didn’t need to contract him but knew he was available if we had questions. Our security deposit was promptly returned once we arrived home. We would definitely rent again from Tom.

Perfect Home!

I have been living in Tom's beautiful and clean apartment for 7 months out of the last 10 months, and I can't imagine a better home away from home in Paris. I am dreading the day I have to leave as it truly feels like home to me.

The apartment is located on a quiet street with a lovely view of the park, and everything you could imagine right around the corner on rue monge. The best pain au chocolate I've had in Paris is a mere 2 minute walk away- along with a charcuterie, an organic wine shop, 2 carrefours, fleuriste, dry cleaners, bank, etc., etc. The line 7 metro is just across the street with several other metro lines a few blocks away. And even my Parisian friends love visiting for a cafe or verre de vin on rue mouffetard, which is about a 3 minute walk away. I also prefer the 5eme as it is in walking distance to both st. germain and the marais, but not as busy or full of tourists.

The apartment itself is clean and spacious with beautiful hardwood floors, molding and marble fireplaces (more for decor as they don't work, but they are stunning). Tom has equipped the apartment with everything you need- wifi, tv with cable, dishes, pots & pans, cleaning supplies. My mother visited for Christmas in Paris and we managed to cook our traditional Christmas dinner without much difficulty (the oven manual along with every other manual can be found in the kitchen!). It can easily sleep 3-4 people since there is a pull-out couch. The bedroom is very large, which is different than most other apartments I've seen in Paris, and it has a lovely desk area (from which I am writing this review).

Tom has been beyond a wonderful host and is extremely responsive. I was not sure if I was going to stay for an additional 3 or 6 months and he was very nice to give me a heads up of future inquiries before giving the apartment to someone else. He was also very patient with my various forms of payments since my American bank was being tricky with international wire transfers.

I was very fortunate to discover my Parisian home and cannot imagine living anywhere else in Paris!
