The house has been tastefully decorated and furnished. The ground floor is open plan, with seating around the fire, the lounge area has a sofa and armchair, English and French TV and DVD and video player. The dining table sits 6 people. The kitchen area has a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker etc. The sideboard has a good selection of china, cutlery etc. A washing machine is available. The house has full central heating, double glazing and an open log fireplace. There is internet connection in the house.

The house is located in the hamlet of Maisy part of Grandcamp Maisy. This is a small, friendly seaside village between the Normandy D-day landing beaches of Omaha and Utah. There are excellent choices of restaurants, cafes and bars all within 10 minutes walking distance of your home. You will also find in the village all essential shops, supermarket, Boulangerie, Chemist, Post Office etc. A 5 minutes drive to the main N13 giving easy access to all areas of Normandy. It is a 45 minute drive from the ferry ports of Cherbourg and Caen. The drive time from Calais is 3 1/2 hour. The nearest town is Isigny sur mer, has two large supermarkets. Historic Bayeux with its medieval buildings, cathedral and theTapestry is a 20 minute drive. The memorable D-Day Landing beaches of Omaha, Utah, Pointe du Hoc, American Cemetery at Colleville and Germany Cemetery at La Cambe and many WW11 museums are all in the immediate vicinity. The recently opened Maisy Battery is an easy 5 minute walk.

The changeover day moves to Friday during July and August so guests can avoid the heavy weekend traffic and delays at the Tolls. Also, so guests can enjoy the many weekend activities and events especially the Sunday morning Brocants.

Other Activities: The Sailing School at Grandcamp Maisy gives indivual lessons as well has hiring out sailing boats. The Horse Riding Centre is 1 klm

Thanks again for the incredible, informative and outstanding hospitality you so graciously gave. Beyond the fact that you contributed so much to the atmosphere, the Mirabelle was charming and a great place to be able to 'feel' the aura of the area. Grandcamp Maisey could not have been more quaint and appealing for our expectations. The early morning trips of our grand kids to the local boulangerie for baguettes will forever be a pleasant memory in our minds.

Thank you louise for a great holiday! The property description was spot on, the property was ideal and exactly what we were expecting, the girls loved the area and the horse riding was great fun! Great location for everyones taste whether its beaches, d-day history or just relaxing.

I would definetley recommend this property!!!

We had such a great time at your house! Thank you for being so nice and going out of your way to get us a baby cot & high chair. This house is in a central location for visiting and in a tranquil & relaxing sea side village. Everything you need!

This property is an attached, two-story home away from home. It's perfectly clean with good furniture. The decor is lovely - country Normandy. We ate breakfast in every day & cooked dinner four of the nights we were there so used the kitchen quite a lot. We had everything we needed. The house is an easy drive to the village and ocean as well as to the major roads through northern Normandy. The owner was there to greet us and walk us through. She's cheerful, friendly, helpful, and not intrusive. If we return to Normandy this is where we'll stay. Definitely recommended!
