Sa Domu Pepa Rosa, a lovingly restored and modernised old Campidano house, is located in the 'Venezziedda' (little Venice) quarter of Cabras and only a short distance from the lagoon 'Stagno di Cabras'. Pepa Rosa offers 3 separate apartments, each furnished and decorated individually. The apartments downstairs each have 1 bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The apartment 'Biaitu' on the first floor has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and offers additional sleeping facilities in the living room. While 'BIAITU' sports a large terrace with a wonderful view of the lagoon, the 2 downstairs apartments offer an inner court yard where one can sun bathe in private or enjoy the balmy sardinian summer nights under a starlit sky.

All apartments are air conditioned (doubles as heating on cooler days).

Avid chefs will enjoy the well equipped kitchen.

Our local caretakers speak German and Italian.

Beaches galore : If it's Tuesday it must be Maimoni! The Sinis peninsula is famous for its spacious sand and quartz pebble beaches. Whether enjoying the crystal clear and almost caribbean waters at Maimoni beach or the dramatic waves at Sa Mesa Longa beach: the coastal region around Cabras offers a different beach for every day of the week. Is Arutas, Is Arenas, Mari Ermi, Sa Rocca Tunda and many more are all within easy driving distance from Cabras.

Spectacular sun sets over the 'Catalano', a rock in the open sea, provide the perfect setting for a sun downer at the 'Sole e Mare' in Mari Ermi beach and history buffs will feel transported back into roman and phoenician times at the Tharros excavation site.

The gold of Cabras: Cabras is not only famous for its wonderful beaches but also for the 'bottarga', the dried and salted roe of the mullets fished in the Stagno (lagoon) of Cabras. Due to the color of this fish roe (it ranges from amber to a light golden brown) and it's price the bottarga is also called 'the gold of Cabras'.

Try a plate of 'spaghetti con bottarga' together with a glass of Vermentino - what better way to end a perfect day!

Bridi' is the Sardinian word for the colour green. Restored and modernised in 2009, the apartment Bridi is one of 2 in the downstairs area of Sa Domu Pepa Rosa. Green in all shades is the main colour scheme in this spacious and airy apartment. The apartment consists of: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom w. shower and bidet, a generous living and dining room area with a sofa bed (sleeps max. 2 pers.), TV and air conditioning, washing machine, kitchen area w. gas stove, electric oven and fridge. The inner court yard sports an orange tree and offers privacy and ample seating space. 'Bridi' is a non smoker apartment!

About Anna Gisela Bröckerhoff

Fo almost 30 years we've been coming to Sardinia and now try to spend as much time as possible in Cabras. Being passionate 'chefs' sardinian cuisine has always fascinated us so much so that in 2012 Hans-Peter published a cookbook with sardinian recipes in German language.

Golf: In approx. 20 km driving distance you'll find one of the most beautiful golf courses in Sardinia. Open all year round the 18 hole course also provides spectacular views of the nearby sea while putting.

  • Butane and water usage included in rental fee. For hygienic reasons we do not allow guests to use their own sheets.

    Bed sheets and 4 towels: € 8,- per person.

    Beach towels can be provided upon request. We charge a one time fee of € 5,- per towel for the duration of the vacation.

    Electricity according to consumption (separate meter in apartment): € 0,40/kWh

    Final cleaning (obligatory): € 60,- to be paid in cash and directly to caretaker the day before departure.

    Late arrival fee (after 22:00 h): € 20,-, to be paid in cash and directly to caretaker upon arrival.
