Puerto de la Aldea is a small fishing port located in western Gran Canaria. It is the ideal destination for lovers of tranquility, nature and hiking who seek rest, relaxation and adventure away from the crowds, hustle and bustle that often dominate many tourist locations.
The apartments are situated just steps away from both the beach and the port and provide guests with a 16-square-metre terrace and spectacular sea views. On a clear day one can see even the Teide, which at 3718 meters high is the highest mountain on the neighboring island of Tenerife and of Spain.
The tasteful and well-furnished apartments offer one/two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and living/dining room. Check www.playalaaldea.com.
And if this vista from the terrace and the breathtaking sunsets that set behind it somehow fail to impress, the bedroom window from the first apartment looks out on the mighty and impressive Roque Nublo, one of Gran Canaria's most iconic rock formations. At 1803 meters high, an expedition to Roque Nublo is highly recommended, even for less experienced hikers, and should not be missed.
All in all, from its secluded location to its sleek décor, our apartments are the perfect spot from which to enjoy the natural beauty of Gran Canaria as well as everything else the island has to offer.
La Aldea de San Nicolás is exactly opposite the airport, on the other side of the island and is reachable within just a 2-hour drive. Though there are two possible routes, we advise that visitors take the road that leads south from the airport. From the airport take the highway Mogán. At Mogán there will be signs pointing the way to the village of La Aldea de San Nicolás. This last stretch of serpentine road between Mogán and La Aldea de San Nicolás goes for 30 km and affords visitors an absolutely scenic drive.
