We fell in love with this location, on a quiet hillside with extensive wooded views and the sea in the distance. Bell Lloc, situated midway between the hamlet of Romanyà and the village of Santa Cristina d'Aro, the proximity to a good choice of restaurants and several 18 hole golf courses, the beach at S'Agaró being only 10 mins away. Girona Airport is 20 mins drive and Barcelona is reached in just over an hour's drive. We had the house built to our design, with a feeling of light and space exuding from the airy living room and well fitted kitchen at one end, whilst the large windows open onto a wrap around terrace overlooking the large swimming pool and ample garden beyond. The furnishings have been carefully chosen to be comfortable but yet practical for family use, and with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom at each side of the house, sharing families or groups of friends will retain their privacy. Ideal for summer holiday rental and also for touring Barcelona, Girona and Costa Brava

Located near Santa Cristina, Bell Loch is a quiet hillside urbanisation overlooking woodland. It is approximately 10 minutes from several excellent beaches, and 20 minutes from Gerona Airport. Barcelona can also be reached in a little over an hour. There are a wide range of activities available locally including 8 Golf Courses including two championship courses, Sailing, Horse Riding, tennis and with many cycling and walking trails near the Villa. Cycling - bikes can be hired locally, and there are also organised tours which can be arranged both Mountain Biking and Road Cycling. Horse riding - Local stables for horse riding within one mile also has horse trekking in the local area. Watersports - Several of the local beaches offer watersports, including sailing, windsurfing and water skiing Tennis - there are local tennis courts available to guests. Notes: Villa has a large private garden of some 3300m2, This is mainly laid to lawn, with a large number of shrubs and trees. The garden backs onto woodlad. We have a large heated pool (12x5m) with slide.There are 8 sun loungers Tennis court is a 200m walk and is available to guests. There is a built in Barbecue on the patio, ideal for long summer eveninga and a bottle of wine or two! Outside dinning with two large patio tables and 10 chairs.

The accommodation was perfect, it was truly a home from home, the furnishings and fittings were first class and there was more than enough crockery for the 8 of us. The pool also was large enough for all of us and our inflatables! Another great asset is that it was perfect for 2 separate families as it gave each of us privacy and space. It was these wee touches that has made you villa different from any other. I would be interested to know if you have any other villas elsewhere and i will certainly recommend this villa to me friends and work colleagues. Guest Comments: Hi James Your villa was a dream, for the 1st time ever we did not want to return home after a holiday, the only downside of our stay was having to close the gate for the gate for the last time. It is a really homely villa, we felt we could relax and still respect your property without worrying, it was clean, spacious and well fitted - what am I talking about that's nothing like home!! we did venture to the top of the hill and had tapas in the closer of the 2 restaurants, new waiter and very friendly with an excellent command of English (and about 3 other languages as well- put us to shame). we went to Barcelona 1 day, parked the car at the station and caught the train in, only about 20 euros each and free parking for the day, and we got off right in the centre of the city- very good as parking was about 15 euros for the day, even if we had a mind to travel the minefield of the roads and find a space, so that was a great tip that you passed on. We had a lovely time and apart from Friday (which was overcast) the weather was amazing. We thought the Villa was beautiful, garden ideal and the location perfect’ - Jenny Hamilton

‘We enjoyed our stay at your peaceful villa. We did the short coastal walk that you suggested which was excellent. There are other good coastal walks too. The trip to Girona was excellent as well’ - Colin Cawley

we had a fantastic holiday thank you. Your house is truly lovely and we had a great time. The only comment I would make is that your description on the Owners Direct website does not do the property justice as we all commented on how it was much better than what we were expecting.

Jackie was very nice and helpful too.

I'm sure I will be in contact with you again early next year and I would not hesitate to recommend you to friends and family.

Wonderful Villa I'm sure we'll be back!!!!

I’m not sure where to start - the villa was absolutely wonderful (or perfect) take your pick. I would just echo one of the other reviews by saying the pictures don’t do it justice.

We arrived late in the evening having being delayed at the airport and the arrangement for the keys (they were available from a secure location) made this much less stressful than worrying about someone having to wait around for us. Davina who takes care of the villa (and she obviously does this so well) came to check that we’d settled in and that everything was OK the next day and this was also a nice touch.

My nephews went into the villa first and their comments sum up the holiday/villa “It’s like somewhere you’d live if you were famous” and that was before they found the nearby tennis courts which they could use.

The villa itself was absolutely immaculate, spotlessly clean, well decorated and obviously well cared for. It was also extremely well equipped and we had everything we needed.

The balcony in the picture was perfectly placed for keeping an eye on the kids whilst they were in the pool - which was almost every morning. But probably best of all (for me at least) was that it was perfectly positioned for capturing the early morning sun – an ideal place for me to enjoy a nice quiet breakfast/coffee.

The pool itself was one of the best maintained/cleanest we’ve ever come across and was checked and cleaned regularly in the 10 days we were there. The gardens were also well kept and big and flat enough for the kids to be able to play ball games.

The weather on the first day was torrential thunderstorms (it was luckily glorious the rest of the time) so I can also say that the centrally heating was powerful enough to keep the villa really cosy. The heating is unlike most villas in the area “proper” radiators like home and it was easy to adjust so would be well suited to a “winter” holiday.

The location of the villa was ideal – secluded but close enough to beaches/resorts so that we could spend the morning in the pool and then explore in the afternoon/evenings. The supermarkets were also close enough and convenient so getting to them wasn’t a major job (handy when the ice cream ran out!!).

Would I recommend the villa – absolutely and without hesitation – I just hope that when we next want to book it someone else hasn’t read the review and got there before us. Because finding somewhere else that lives up to this villa will be no easy task!!!

Beautiful Villa; exceptionally well appointed. Peaceful, quiet location. Great heated swimming pool. Large grassy area for children. Lots of sun or shade. Variety of beaches and excellent walks nearby. Good choice of restaurants in surrounding area.Barcelona and Girona easily accessible by car /public transport.Good tennis courts close by.
Would appeal to all age groups.

3rd visit

Went October 1/2 term again, great to get late summer sun and enjoy a heated pool, kids were in the pool first thing in the morning and late at night. There was plenty of space for my family and my sister's to enjoy without getting in each others way. The views are excellent and the walk down to the station resturant was relaxing the walk back up was a little more challenging but ment we didn't feel guilty of the extra puds and wine.
The beaches were excellent we paticularly enjoyed Sagra where the kids seemed to love surf boarding in the huge waves so much I had to join in wearing shorts and t-shirt much to my sons disgust as Iam not quite up for miss wet t-shirt of the year. We will be returning next year.

Well appointed villa in excellent location

We have enjoyed two holidays in this well appointed and very comfortable villa. The planning of the villa means that two familiies can holiday together comfortably. The good sized pool keeps the children happy, whilst a terrace on two sides of the villa means that there is usually some shade from the sun for the non sun worshipper.
The location is very private and peaceful but a short drive takes you to excellent supermarkets and restaurants to suit all pockets. There are numerous activites available in the vicinity and a good choice of beaches which are well kept with a good selection of bars and restaurants.
