Clean, quiet, well equipped oceanfront cottage on a very private 2 1/2 acre wooded lot with gorgeous views of Little Island and the open ocean. This is a great spot to watch lobstermen tending their traps, osprey nesting on Little Island, waves crashing on the rocks, sunrises in the morning and stars at night.
Dining either indoors or out on the porch offers a constantly changing ocean panorama. Seals, dolphins and whales have been spotted. Many birds can be seen including hummingbirds, ospreys, bald eagles, cormorants, eider ducks, yellow warblers, carolina wrens, great horned owls and of course, seagulls.
If you can tear yourself away from the view, there are many things to do in the area, such as:
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse
Monhegan Island (ferry leaves from New Harbor)
Crabbing in Back Cove
Walking or biking
Swimming at the Bristol Dam
Puffin watch cruise
This is the perfect spot for a vacation. Lots to do and see or just relax and get cozy by the fireplace. Two and a half acres of private woods around you; the Atlantic Ocean right in front of you. What more could anyone want?

Three things make this cottage special: the privacy, the natural beauty of the surrounding woods and the incredible view of the open ocean and Little Island. The cottage has been well maintained and tastefully updated but still has the comfortable charm of a classic pine paneled cottage.
What a wonderful way to spend downtime with the family. We typically stay pretty busy on vacation and everyone was content to just hang out this time. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the cottage and views. The cottage was homey with the stone fireplace and comfortable furniture. It was great to have the windows open to enjoy the breeze and sounds of the wave. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us (and thanks for the reminder of the bonfire on the rocks). I hope to return in the future.
