Very comfortable and spacious apartment within easy reach of the city centre. Furnished to a high standard with solid wood furniture, original wooden floors, high ceilings, beautiful bay window in sitting room. Large kitchen/dining room with open aspect to garden. Kitchen brand new with all modern appliances. Leith cycle/walkway just round the corner - lovely walks !

Shop (open late) , pharmacy and bus stop around the corner - very regular bus service into town (every 10 mins) or towards Leith. Possibility to walk into town centre (approx. 25-30 mins) or take the bus (10 mins). 3 bedrooms, 2 double, one single -sleeps up to 6 with use of fold-down single bed.

Absolutely perfect

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. There was a comprehensive folder giving advice on how to get into town, where to shop etc. We spent four nights while visiting the Fringe and could not have been happier. It's an easy walk to the waterfront, shops and cafés and a short bus ride into town. We will definitely be returning next time we visit Edinburgh. Highly recommended!

Superb Edinburgh apartment

I would not hesitate in recommending this apartment to anyone.

It's lovely and spacious in a super residential area and close enough to restaurants, takeaways and a regular bus service that takes you in Princess Street or to the Royal Mile. An added bonus was the free parking close to the apartment.

The high ceilings and large bay window makes this self-catering holiday apartment very light and bright. I loved it. The beds are very comfortable, lovely furnishings and everything you could possibly need to feel right at home.

I would definitely like to return to this fabulous apartment.

Schön war´s!

Wir haben uns in der charmanten Wohnung ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Es liegen ausfühliche und sehr hilfreiche Informationen bereit, die Wohnung ist ruhig, hat sehr viel Stil und Ambiente, man kann eintauchen in das Leben der schönen und interessanten Stadt und sich anschließend in diesem Domizil wie zuhause fühlen. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war ausgesprochen angenehm, freundlich und unkompliziert. Es gab präzise Anreiseinformationen und eine ganz besonders unkomplizierte Art der Schlüsselübergabe - das haben wir so zum ersten Mal erlebt. Alles, was man braucht war da, es könnte nicht besser sein. Wir empfehlen diese Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt weiter und kommen bestimmt selber wieder.
Unsere Tipps: Essen gehen und Cidre trinken im Pub am Hafen (rechte Seite, stadtauswärts, Haggisfrittes und Fish and Chips probieren!), oder bei Chop-Chop (chinesische Küche, Büffet probieren und vorher nichts essen!), oder in der Burntsfield Rd. im Chocolate Tree die winzig kleine Cafè-Stube entdecken... Arthur´s Seat, Botanischer Garten, die Vaults (interessante Führungen), unbedingt auch mal auf einen Friedhof gehen, und keine Gelegenheit versäumen, sich mit den Einheimischen zu unterhalten, die Schotten sind ein supernettes Völkchen!
Wir haben die Wohnung mit 4 Personen bewohnt und hatten zeitweise unsere in Edinburgh lebende Tochter zu Gast. Sehr schön war´s - Vielen Dank!

Gute Lage - gute Wohnung

Nach einem Aufenthalt im Highland-Club in einer Wohnung der gleichen Vermieterin haben wir das Angebot, noch einige Tage in Schottlands Hauptstadt zu verbringen gerne angenommen. Die grosszügige Wohnung liegt in einem ruhigen, jedoch verkehrsmässig bestens angebundenen Stadtteil. Die Fewo befindet sich in der 1. Etage eines älteren, georgianischen Wohnhauses und bietet ausreichend Platz mit dem typischen britischen Flair. Die alten, teilweise heftig knarrenden Eichenholzdielen, die Schiebefenster, die so dringend mal geputzt und gestrichen gehörten, und die zeitlose Möblierung bilden den gemütlichen Rahmen nach den täglichen Exkursionen in Eburgh und Umland. Die grosse Küche ist funktionell mit ausreichend grossem Essplatzund Gartenblick. Das Wozi verfügt über bequeme Sitzmöbel und einen schönen Kohlekamin. TV mit ausschliesslich englischsprachigen Kanälen, DVD-Player mit diversen DVD´s ist vorhanden. Auch das W-LAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Das grosse Schlazi zur Strasse ist OK, das kleinere mit Blick in die verwunschene Hinterhofromantik mit viel Grün wegen des komplizierten Bettes mit Auszug eher schwierig. Das 3. Schlazi (?) ist eher eine Abstellkammer ohne Tasgeslicht und nur für "Nicht-Klaustrophobe" geeignet. Das kleine Bazi mit WC ist für kräftigere Personen eher mühsam zu benutzen - aber es hat ein Fenster zum Hof!
Schön wäre es, wenn die nützliche Gästemappe mit den vielen Tipps und Hinweisen mal wieder aktualisiert würde, ansonsten kann man in dieser Wohnung eher nichts beanstanden. Wir würden sie jedenfalls bei einem abermaligen Eburgh-Aufenthalt wieder buchen, zumal auch der Preis absolut OK ist.

I agree that the location and convenience for the city are big plus points. I also understand how important WiFi is for the modern guest - I am happy it worked so well ! For future guests the second bed in the second bedroom can be easily pulled out on castors - not complicated ! The third bedroom is agreeably small as mentioned in the advert. but has always proved to be very comfertable ( large enough for a full-size single bed , a chair and a chest of drawers. Indirect daylight is provided through two windows to the hall and kitchen.
I am happy you enjoyed the apartment and would return on your next visit to Edinburgh.

Zu Hause in Edinburgh

Großzügige, ruhig gelegene, typisch britische Wohnung.
Gemütliche Ausstattung, große Küche und schönes Bad (auf der britischen Insel nicht selbstverständlich).
Liegt zwischen Stadtzentrum, dem altem Kern von Leith (je ca 5 Min mit einem der Busse oder gemütlicher Spaziergang) und dem Meer.
Sehr empfehlenswert um ein paar Tage in Edinburgh zu 'leben', sprich sich heimisch zu fühlen oder natürlich als Ausgangsbasis für Touren ins Umland (problemlose Verkehranbindung).

Wer näher im Stadtzentrum wohnen möchte, sollte sich ein Hotel suchen.
Die Viertel zum Stadtzentrum hin sind weniger ansprechend oder horrend teuer.

Die Mietabwicklung ist unkompliziert und professionell.

Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einer sehr schönen Stadt!

Situated in Darnell Rd in the very affluent and up-market area of Trinity with free on-street parking . 10 min walk south to botanic gardens or north to coast. 10 min bus ride into Princes Street the heart of town (bus stop right around the corner), or a good 30 min walk for the more energetic. Close to the coast and the Leith district with fantastic waterside cafes and a great shopping centre (Ocean Terminal). Extremely quiet street.

This beautifully furnished and generously proportioned apartment is on the first floor and has 2 double bedrooms and one single. A guest bed can be put up in either the lounge or in the main bedroom for a sixth guest. Open coal fire in lounge and free Wi-Fi.
