The house is located 50 m from the pier on the harbour with a view to the south over the Bay of Schull and a few islands in the Roaring Water Bay. It is spacious and bright, offers space for 6 people and is completely equipped. All rooms have a sea/harbour view and from the beautiful garden with a BBQ area you can enjoy the colorful life of the harbour. A staircase leads to another small garden on the river that invites you to relax. It is only a few minutes walk to the city center with its beautiful shops and traditional pubs with live music. During the summer, Schull offers famous sailboat races, a rowboat race, festivals and different excursion options on land and water. Boat rental can be organized on the pier.

Schull is located in southwest Ireland and thanks to the gulf stream, the climate is always extremely mild. Palm trees and eucalyptus trees grow here. The fishing village is world famous among sailors and offers all types of activities. There is a traditional bio-store and even a small chocolate manufacturer and a few nice restaurants and of course the famous small pubs. West Cork is known for its wild nature and has a few beautiful beaches and attractions and a rich offering of recreational activities.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A non-refundable deposit of 20% must be paid upon booking. The remaining amount is due 6 weeks before arrival. For bookings that occur within 6 weeks before arrival, the total amount is due upon booking. A security deposit of € 250 must be paid with the rental price and will be given back after final cleaning and inspection of the object.
    Electricity, gas, oil and final cleaning are charged with € 50 per week.
  • Starting with the second rental week, we provide a discount of € 50, starting with the third rental week we give a discount of € 100.

Our family of four stayed in August 2009. It is a well appointed house with a fantastic view. Clean and tidy and all the facilities you would expect. Details provided were accurate. Schull itself is a lovely village with interesting shops and brilliant pubs. Also an ideal base for visiting surrounding area. For travellers from UK it is slightly expensive to eat out. The restaurants were of mixed quality, with the pubs offering best value. Crabbing at Colla Pier, rock pooling, beach at Barley Cove, whale watching...all highy recommended.

Great House, Perfect Location

We stayed here in August 2009 (family of six, four adults and two children) and it was absolutely perfect. Situated just down by the harbour, steps from the main street, the house is a gem. The village of Schull is the perfect spot for exploring West Cork. The house itself has every comfort and convenience and a wonderful garden that overlooks the harbour.

I can't think of a better set up for exploring the area. Everything you need is in Schull, including pubs, shops, restaurants, etc. and the house is situated to take advantage of it all.

Very comfortable, clean, and well kept. We hope to return again!
