The Mooshäusl is a typical Carinthian wooden house set in its own garden and has spectacular views to the mountains and down into the valley of the Gurk. The self-contained flat on the first floor is pine panelled and decorated in a typical rustic Austrian style,and at the same time modern and comfortable. All the rooms open from a spacious hall. The attractive light living/dining-room with its own balcony has two sofas which can also be used as extra beds, a TV a CD player and a wood-burning stove. At the other end of the room is a corner dining table and there is a hatch into the small, fully equipped and modern kitchen. The flat is heated with electric radiators, easily controlled by thermostats. There is a sauna /shower-room and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer in the basement. For the large garden there are deckchairs and a barbeque. There is a carport for 2 cars.

Summer activities: The mild climate of the Southern Alps is ideal for hiking in the National Park of the Nock Mountains. There are over 1000km of well marked paths between 1000m and 2500m high as well as many walks to the tops of the mountains with breathtaking views. There are alpine huts for meals or even for spending the night. There is Nordic Walking, Mountain-biking and climbing for all levels and qualified instructors and guides are available. Within a minute's walk from the Mooshäusl is a tennis club with a large swimming pool.
