SUITE A5 LAGO VERDE - APARTMENT WITH LARGE PRIVATE BALCONY & PANORAMIC SEA VIEWS

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay in January 2013 and have stayed in this property on several previous occasions. The owner Christine is very approachable and always keen to ensure that everything goes well. The suite is situated in a well run apartment complex with a lovely pool and the convenience of a pool-side bar for those who want a drink and snack on the spot. It commands a stunning 180 degree panorama of sea and land scapes from a south-facing balcony because of it's position at the summit of a series of terraced apartment complexes and private housing. There is therefore a considerable climb from the harbour and beach areas, which should not daunt people of average fitness or better. The suite is comfortably furnished and enjoys an above average quality of amenities, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom, although the 42 -inch plasma television would benefit from a better and more reliable satellite service. The suite was clean on arrival and this standard was maintained throughout the stay. There is a good supermarket within easy reach, which has just been refurbished. The same complex hosts an english-speaking butcher and several bars and restaurants. Puerto del Carmen old town boasts a large number of restaurants, including vegetarian. Many of these offer wonderful freshly caught seafood. Our favourite is the 'Mardeleva', which has an outdoor terrace above the harbour. We would certainly recommend this suite to friends and relatives in the knowledge that they would not be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay here - the views out over the Atlantic, the Femes hills and out to Fuerteventura are particular fabulous. You can watch both sunrise and sunset or sunbathe on the balcony - take binoculars to watch the yachts.

Couple of problems arose during our staying and the owner responded quickly and very helpful - so all sorted out smoothly and rapidly.

Well equipped apartment, small but well laid out kitchen with everything you need to cook if you dont want to eat out. The nearby (20 paces!) La Bamba restaurant is your typical Canarian spot, popular with locals as well as visitors. Comfortable beds and good shower/bathroom with plenty of hot water. Very large TV and comfortable leather sofa to watch videos etc.

You can use the free wifi from reception but you have to walk down there as it doesnt get to the apartment. We used the Flora Hotel wifi which is not cheap but at least provides coverage in the apartment. Couple of odd bits of furniture in the apartment like the computer table and the exercise bike which should be removed but nothing to worry about.

Lago Verde pool OK for a dip to cool off but not big enough for a real swim.

Million dollar question - would we go back again? Most certainly.

We have just returned from a week at A5 Lago Verde and I cannot wait to return! The apartment is perfect in every way, modern, spacious, fabulous balcony with a view to die for! Comfortable beds, lovely bathroom with brand new shower and a beautiful kitchen with everything you could possibly need. This apartment is not to be missed. Pool bar great too, owners very friendly and fresh food served daily.
