A wonderful experience

We were a party of 6 triathletes staying on Elba for the annual Ironman Competition in September 2009.
The property is almost beyond description. It was ideal for our needs providing rooms where we could all sit, eat, drink and listen to music. Equally there were so many private spaces that we could enjoy personal time without interruption.
The furnishings of the property are an amazing collection of personal furnishings, pictures and objects clearly gathered over many years.
The garden was a haven of tranquility with opportunities to sit and read and eat.
The house is situated in the centre of the village, and although only 10 metres from the nearest restaurant and perhaps another 10 or more restaurants within 200 metres, was quiet and private. The excellent sandy beach could be seen from the three balconies and you could be sat on the sand and swimming in the warm water within a 5 minute walk or 2 minute run!
Altogether an memorable experience made all the better for the excellent communications before the holiday and on our arrival. I have no doubt we shall return to the house and to compete in the Ironman.
