Great house,spotlessly clean,very comfortable,everything provided,including massive TV with satellite channels.Lovely squishy duvets,comfortable beds and plenty wardrobe space.Good quiet location in nice residential street,a pleasant 10 min walk down (not very steep) slope to village centre.House has a fantastic large sunny balcony/terrace with a pleasant view of hills (overlooks a distant road but this is not busy or intrusive).Also,a cute summer house in garden for barbecue/dining.Owner made the booking process extremely easy and provided all info needed very promptly by email.Would definitely stay here again.We had a fantastic holiday here.Weather was hot and sunny most days,making the lemon sorbet drizzled with vodka in the Hotel Sonneneck especially appealing! For a special treat, book a table on the lakeside terrace at the Hotel Alemannenhof to the south of the village.For sightseeing,the boat trip round Schluchsee was quieter than Titisee,and accessible directly by train (though we were disappointed with our meal at the place by the Schluchsee boat departure point,our only culinary disappointment on the whole trip).Visitors can make good use of free public transport throughout Hochschwarzwald (the owner has your guest card waiting for you on arrival).Freiburg is a must on bad weather days (trains every half hour).By car,don't miss the lovely village of Sankt Peter.

The upper Black Forest is one of the most beautiful regions of Germany, steeped in history and traditions very unique in this mountainous area. The Romans called these densely forested highlands "Silva Nigra" - or Black Forest - because of the dark foreboding conifers that made the Black Forest almost impenetrable many centuries ago.
Today, the upper Black Forest is one of the last vestiges of unadulterated nature in Germany and has been designated a true national park of singular significance. Miles of hiking trails meander through lush forests and along bubbling creeks and glittering lakes - here people of all ages can enjoy nature in all its splendor.
Titisee is located right in the heart of this vast nature preserve, with trails leading through and beyond the town and lake - many of which are easily accessible from Haus Annabella. From here, our guests are encouraged to take short day trips by car to see some of the lovely sights, such as the old traditional farms nestled into the hillsides, and the colorful villages dotting the gently rolling countryside.
The small village of Titisee also provides a varied selection of restaurants, cafés and shops - all within a short walking distance from Haus Annabella. Here you can find unique items, such as traditional Black Forest cuckoo clocks in all shapes and sizes, beer steins and traditional wood-carved figures and masks that make for great gifts to take back home.

In winter, the upper Black Forest is also a popular winter sport holiday destination, with several ski resorts - including Mt. Feldberg ski center - located within a 15 minute car drive from Titisee. For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, several ski-tracks run almost right by the house and lead for miles throughout the Black Forest.
All our guests receive the KONUS Guest Card upon arrival in Titisee, which gives the entire family the right to travel free of charge on all the local public transportation systems (bus and train). Jump on the 40 minute train ride to Freiburg - free of charge - to sightsee and shop in this picturesque medieval city.
