The 'Château de la Vienne' is located in the southern Loire area, in a hilly, sparsely populated area with a mild, mostly sunny climate. The castle is situated in the middle of a 10 ha park with a 100-year-old trees. You will take pleasure in its extremely quiet location, off from streets and housing estates. In the close surrounding there are numerous sights: castles, medieval villages, Roman churches, troglodyte villages, stone-age findings, nature preserve, etc... Shopping facilities in the adjacent village 'Le Grand-Pressigny', the capital of the rural district in 3 km distance. It is an important centre of the Stone Age with its newly designed, modern museum. The apartment adds up to ca. 180 m2 and is located on the first floor of the castle. Maximal 6 persons can stay here. It has a separate entrance and can be reached by a stone spiral staircase. There are 5 main rooms: a large common room with fireplace and kitchenette, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 WCs, sauna.

Because the castle is situated far off the street children can play in the park without worrying. There is a pole with a swing, a climbing rope etc. provided. Le Grand Pressigny is an important centre of the Stone Age with a new, modern museum. Nearby: 53 ha amusement park (Futuroscope). Modern, diverse entertainment offers with all new audiovisual techniques. Large deer-park with hundreds of partly rare animals. ZooParc with 3000 animals, three tropical glasshouses. All Loire castles as well as the historical villages are located in a radius of max. 100 km, many are very close In the surrounding there are horse riding and golfing facilities. For bicycle tours the fully developed road network with little traffic is very convenient. Also canoeing is possible on several, nearby rivers. Different, large weekly markets. Casino with several gaming possibilities (15 km). Paris reachable by TGV trains in 1.5 h.
