Apartment 'Domblick' is situated at the foot of the Mönchsberg, only a few minutes from the banks of the river Salzach. It offers picturebook views towards the Old Town with dome, palace and fortress. It is a third floor apartment in a renovated 16th century townhouse (with lift) in one of the oldest parts of the city. Next to it is the old Parish Church of Muelln and the Augustiner monastery turned brewery with its unique historical beer hall and the best beergarden in town.

'Domblick' has two very large bedrooms with double beds, a fully equipped built-in Poggenpohl kitchen with washdryer, dishwasher, oven with ceran field, microwave, coffeemachine, toaster etc. and a 30 sqm living/dining room with satellite tv, DVD, hifi stereo, WiFi, remote control lighting and seating for four. The bathroom offers a tub with shower as well as a bidet and there is a separate WC.

The apartment has a triple aspect with eleven (!) windows and is therefore not only spacious, but also very light and bright.

Restaurants and shopping facilities are just around the corner and so is the bus stop and the next train station so that you do not need a car to explore Salzburg and its vicinity. For those who come by car there is a large (and safe) car park behind the Augustiner brewery just 3 minutes away.

WONDERFUL APARTMENT, SUPERB VIEWS

This is an excellent apartment and for the two of us was spacious. It is very well presented being clean and bright. There is a lift close to the front door, perfect for me with my broken leg! The owner and caretaker hit just the right note of friendly informed support and availability when needed. The views of Salzburg are delightful. We mostly too taxi into town and buses to return as there is a bus stop close by. A great place to stay!

AMAZING VIEWS

This is a perfect apartment, amazing views, very clean, with two very large bedrooms and living space and well equipped kitchen and bathroom with separate toilet.

The location is ideal with either a short walk along the river to the city or a bus ride. The Salzburg Card is a good purchase as it provides transport and entrance fees. There are several good restaurants close by, we particularly liked the Barenwirt, which is very Austrian and were many locals there, and a little pizzeria and of course the St. Augustinier brewery.

On arrival the manager was there to greet us and tell us all we needed to know and also arranged a taxi for us on departure.

We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return one day.

THE PERFECT PLACE FOR OUR STAY IN SALZBURG

This apartment was perfect, matching the online description: very clean, tasteful furniture, plenty of dishware and easy-to-use appliances in the kitchen. Being 10 minutes away from Old Town was a plus as the walk by the river is very pleasant and you are a safe distance from the hordes of tourists. It's also an excellent spot to get up on Monchberg and walk to Hohesalzburg, the fortress overlooking the town. We took the ski shuttle across the river on MirabellPlatz to Flachau - it was an easy walk with all our gear. However, Flachau was packed. The next day we chose to drive to Obertauern, as recommended by the lovely caretaker. Superb day of skiing on Jan. 1. Overall, thumbs up. I would recommend to families, couples, etc. wanting to stay in Salzburg and/or explore outside Salzburg.

My husband, myself and another couple were so pleased with this accommodation! It was very clean, supremely comfortable and so close to so many places of interest. We walked absolutely everywhere. We hope to visit Salzburg again sometime in the future and would not hesitate to stay here again!

LOVE SALZBURG

This spacious apartment provided fantastic view of beautiful Salzburg. The online pictures did not do it justice. We were in walking distance of both old and new Salzburg. We loved the farmers market by Mirabelle Gardens on Thursday and the St. Rupert Festival on Friday and Saturday. We have rented houses and apartments all over the world and have never failed to receive our full security deposit back. We have never been charged for a broken glass. 5 euros for a glass? You can get a dozen at Walmart for under $10.00. We were told explicitly to recycle all glass, paper and plastic and leave them in the kitchen. We were perfectly happy to do that as we happen to own a recycling company. When we left the only difference in the apartment was the used linens and the recycles in the kitchen and we were charged an "extensive cleaning" charge. Don't tell us to recycle and then charge us for it. And a hint to future renters: if you plan on eating in the apartment we advice you to remove the white linen tablecloth unless you are perfect eaters or plan on eating all clear products. You will be charged an extra fee for cleaning of the tablecloth. It may be just me, but it seems that a broken glass and tablecloth cleaning is just part of the cost of doing business. After a wonderful stay these petty charges were quite disappointing.

PERFECT

This apartment is simply beautiful. Large, modern appliances, and a great location. It is located just the right distance from the center of town affording wonderful views of the river and town center. It was about a 15 minute walk to the train station, if you choose not to take transportation. The spectacular Augustiner Beer Garden is 1/2 a block behind the house which has really reasonable food and is so much fun. Do not missing walking up behind the house....there is a walkway that allows you to travel all the way from the apartment to the fortress with jaw dropping views in a wooded setting.

I can't say enough about this great apartment and city. The housekeeper went out of her way to help us with everything and the owner was extremely professional in working with us. Book it!

Apartment 'Domblick' is situated at the foot of the Moenchsberg, only a few minutes from the Salzach Promenade. What may be more important for some of you: It is only a few steps to the famous Augustiner Brewery with its excellent beer and its wonderful beergarden. To Getreidegasse and the festival hall it is less than a 10 minutes walk and most of Salzburg's attractions like Mozart's birthplace, the Theater, the Mirabell Park etc. can easily reached on foot. There are also very good bus connections to Palace Hellbrunn, the Untersberg with its cable car, the Football Stadium and huge shopping centres by the motorway so that you can easily get by without a car. For the daily shopping there are numerous little shops in the vicinity.

And if you feel like having a real treat for breakfast you just walk up Moenchsberg and in 10 minutes you will sit in front of the Museum der Moderne where you will have fresh coffee and rolls against the backdrop of the magnificent panorama of Mozart City
