Both cottages are completely private and self-contained with their own gardens. Situated in Normandy, in the heart of the countryside off a quiet country road with good access to numerous local activities and places of interest. Petit Guichon is a charming Normandy thatched cottage. Renovated throughout without losing is old world charm.is a charming thatched cottage. Good sized living area. Shower room. Bedroom with antique double bed and views of the surrounding countryside Many original features and regional antiques. Champ Guichon is the larger of the two properties Once a working small holding this cottage has been modernised to a high standard whilst retaining many original features. Oak beams, a wood burning stove and exposed stonework all sit well alongside the modern additions such as an en-suite bathroom and sun room. Champ Guichon has 3 bedrooms (2 of which are adjoining, ideal for children) and can accommodate 6 people.

Petit Guichon is a charming Normandy thatched cottage. Renovated throughout without losing is old world charm. The cottage has its own private garden and terrace. A table and chairs are provided on the terrace so you can enjoy a glass of wine and take in the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside. You can walk out from the cottage into the surrounding countryside, previous holiday makers have seen foxes, deer, red squirrels and even wild boar. The property comprises a good sized living area with seating and fully equipped kitchen and eating area. There is also a shower room. Up the 17th Century staircase is the dual aspect bedroom with antique double bed. There are lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The cottage is fully central heated with an additional gas fire in the sitting room for the winter months. We can o supply a regional produce hamper for your arrival if requested, please ask for further details.

The cottage is situated within the Normandy/Maine Regional Park, which offers a host of outdoor activities. Nearby to the west is Fosse Artour where you may follow the route of King Arthur and either ride ponies, rock-climb, fish, take refreshment or pick up the Grande Randonne (GR22) and walk all the way to Mont St Michel. To the east you can follow the GR thro' historic Domfront to the foret des Andaines- with a chance to see wild boar, deer and mushrooms - and on to the exquisite spa town of Bagnoles de L'Orne. To the north lies the rolling countryside of Swiss Normandy and the World War 2 sites. To the south is the contrasting plain of the Mayenne.

This was a perfect relaxing and romantic place for our getaway holiday. The cottage was cute and had everything we needed to stay. Local village a few minutes drive away had all the food and drink we needed to sustain ourselves for the week...lots of cheese, meat and red wine!

Well recommended.
