Our apartment is located in the Werratal. You have the possibility to go on beautiful cycling tours directly from the apartment. The Hohe Meißner, a hiking region, is located only 15 km away. Its height is 750 m. Below the mountain you will find a wild park with a predatory birds show and a labyrinth. The Hessian Switzerland is the highest point in the region of Meinhard. There you can go on walks along the Hessian/Thuringian border. The Werratalsee is a special experience. It is only 500m from our apartment. There you can go swimming, canoeing, sailing, cycling, walking or you can be lazy and lay in the sun. Our region is known for its many beautiful half-timbered houses. Visit the Wanfried, the shopping city of Eschwege and a lot of nice villages nearby. In both cities we recommend a city guide or visitng a museum. From Ludwigstein to Wartburg, you will find many castles that you can visit on a 50 km path.
