Wonderful Swiss Chalet

We were a party of four adults and a small child, and this chalet suited our needs perfectly. It was spacious and very well equipped. Bedding and towels were provided and we had all the kitchen equipment we could have possibly needed for our week long stay, during which we mostly cooked for ourselves. The chalet was very clean and tidy and we were provided with a travel cot and highchair, as well as some toys for our little boy to enjoy.
The view from the windows and the balcony were superb, across to the Schreckhorn and the Eiger, and right along the Grindelwald valley.
There was a bus stop just down from the chalet and we were provided with a bus pass which allowed us to use the buses in and around Grindelwald for free, for the duration of our stay, which was most useful and saved us alot of money and petrol. We had a hire car, but it would have been well possible to manage without a car at all, as the transport links are so good.
The Hotel Blumlisalp was also just a short walk from the chalet, and provided excellent food, and also had fresh milk and cheese available for purchase.
There were many options for walking or daytrips, and there were lots of useful leaflets and a whole folder full of local information readily available in the chalet to help us decide how to spend our time. All the walks in the local area are very well signposted and easy to follow.
The Grindelwald area generally is just beautiful. There are easily accessible shops and supermarkets, and plenty to do and see.
I would recommend both the chalet and the area to anyone looking to visit Switzerland, and would love to return at some point.
