Beaches in Porto Colom:: Cala Marsal is in the new part of Porto Colom. The largest and easiest to reach beach is about 8 km / 10 minutes by car from your house. It is ideal for children, has a restaurant and beach bar, chairs, sun umbrellas, showers, pedal boats, etc. It is surrounded by smaller hotels and restaurants. The parking lot is directly by the beach. Cala S'Arenal, in the old part of Porto Colom, Sa Punta, by the lighthouse. This beach is located about 8 km / 10 minutes from the house by car. Here you will also find parking spaces directly by the beach. It is mainly used by locals and has a very beautiful location by the harbour entrance with a view of all of Porto Colom with the mountains in the background. Here you can observe the most romantic sunsets. The beach bar, in Ibiza style, is open late (info: coffee, drinks and food, however, are very expensive!).

Beaches in the area:: Cala Brafi: a small nature beach that you can only reach through a cliff hiking path. Cala Murada is about 8 km / 10 minutes from the house by car. Mostly only locals swim here, together with primarily German residents, Belgian and French tourists that go on holiday in the only hotel in the city. By car, you can park directly by the beach. In the same distance you will find the beach Es Domingos: a very beautiful beach with deep water and by the wind with high waves. Cala Senau by Cala D'Or, about 15 km / 15 minutes by car. Here you will find a small beach surrounded by a pine forest. More beaches nearby: Cala Serena, Cala Esmeralda, Cala Gran, Cala Egos, Cala Barca. Don't forget the beautiful double bay of Cala Mondrago which is under protection, by Alqueria Blanca. Only small disadvantage: during the peak season, the cars must be parked somewhat further from the beach.

Information for golfers:: 5 km away you will find the golf course Vall D'Or, one of the most famous golf courses in Majorca, with its newly renovated club house and a stunning view of Cala D'Or and the harbours of Porto Colom. This is located only a few minutes from the house. Here golf courses are regularly offered in Spanish, German or English for beginners and advanced golfers in small groups. Also 'non-golfers' will enjoy a visit to the spacious course. 20 km away you will find the exclusive Mariott Golf Son Antem I and II resort.
