A perfectly located penthouse apartment overlooking the 18th green of a wonderful golf course with driving range. 10 - 15 min drive to 2 other championship-standard courses, one of which is Spain's only 'Arizona-style' course (Desert Springs). 5 mins walk to the quiet beach. The complex has a communal swimming pool. The apartment is fully kitted out with everything you could want, virtually all new in April 2005. This is the perfect place for a golfing break, however there is loads to do for the whole family. The apartment has Air Conditioning and heating (for the occasional cool evenings in winter), Sky TV with a large L-shaped terrace. There is also a private solarium on the roof for sun worshippers with access by stairs leading from the terrace - the sun cannot hide from you up there! There is a private, underground parking space ensuring you can always park and keeps the car cool in those hot, summer months and a small shopping arcade with a supermarket and other useful shops.

Mojacar Playa is in Andalucia, Spain. The nearest town and airport is Almeria - driving time around 1 hour. Other options are Murcia and Alicante - driving time around 1 1/2 or 2 hours on the motorway. The Marina de la Torre complex is minutes from the beach and overlooks Marina Golf Course. Although this part of Spain (Sierra Cabrera) is very hilly the complex sits on the flat coastal plateau at sea level so no hills to be climbed. However, as the apartment benefits from being on the 3rd (top) floor with great views there are stairs to be climbed! There are many great places to visit from Mojacar - don't miss the markets at Mojacar Pueblo and near-by Garrucha. Driving is easy as the roads are quiet - but if you don't have a head for heights don't venture into the mountains. A must-see place for all golfers is the course at Cortijo Grande - but don't use orange or yellow balls.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Once a rental has been agreed we will send you a booking form. A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment is due at least one month prior to the booking. Prices are quoted in Euros but we can accept payment in Sterling in the UK at the exchange rate applicable on the date of rental agreement. We use a local agent for key collection. They will make sure the apartment is spotless and the beds made up before you arrive. They are also on hand if you need help of any kind. We liaise with them to arrange key collection if you arrive outside office hours - keys are left in a safe outside the office and I will provide a combination to open it.
  • Rates for rentals of more than one week can be negotiated. For long-term renting, please contact us to discuss a rate.

Flights from UK and Ireland: You can fly directly to Almeria from 3 UK airports - Gatwick, Stansted and Birmingham. Easyjet flies from both Gatwick and Stansted, Ryanair from Stansted and Monarch from Birmingham. Murcia is the next closest option at around 1 1/2 hours. Ryanair flies out of both Glasgow and Dublin, Easyjet from Bristol, Monarch from Birmingham and Flybloespan (?) from Edinburgh. The options into Alicante, about 2 hours away, are almost endless. After a Meditteranean Cruise at the beginning of October we decided to take some R and R in Mojacar, Spain. There we stayed in this penthouse condo overlooking the golf course. The apartment was very comfortable and clean.It is well equiped for just about everything. We especially enjoyed the large terrace and roof top sunspot. There is a small convenience store close by and a super market just a few miles away. If you do not want to cook there are many wonderful restaurants to choose from. we were at the end of the summer season and some places were getting ready to close for the winter.
We highly recommend this rental whether you are a golfer or a sun worshipper or just want to enjoy this beautiful area of Spain.

A hot week in Mojacar

The property was very clean & had everything we could have asked for. The air conditioning works a treat, & believe me you will be grateful for it as the temperature did not go below 27degC on a night. The pools are nice & clean, one is very shallow for the little ones. The appartment has a very large balcony with great views over looking the golf course, but the best views are from the huge solarium. The beaches are nice & clean, with plenty of space for privacy if you want. There are plenty of places to eat, in Mojacar Playa or Garrucha, didn't have a bad meal all week. Most of the restaurants & bars are a bit further than walking distance so a car is really essential. The underground carpark will appear a bit daunting at first, but you will soon get the hang of it. You could always use the local bus service & taxis, which are quite reasonable.
We had a very enjoyable week in this appartment, plenty of room for us all, 5 adults. There is plenty to do in the area if you want or just relax on the beach, by the pool or up on the roof.
