PLUS hiking: From a cosy walk to the demanding booking tip tour, from forests to ancient alpine meadows - everything is possible. For some hikers it can't be steep enough, others love calm walks. Here in our Zirbenland region, you can find hundreds of kilometres of marked hiking paths. Some lead up into the mountains, others have a nice wayside cross, a fascinating natural monument or a small pilgrimage church as a destination. Every hiker can work as much - or as little - as they want. By the way: the junior chef Bernd will help you with your route planning. For example: the 2397 m high Zirbitzkogel is one of the most popular viewpoints in Austria. About 20 m under its summit on the north side you will find the highest-elevated shelter in Styria. After climbing, the snack in the Zirbitzkogel shelter tastes even better!
PLUS cycling and nature enjoyment: For cyclists in the 50 plus range, the Zirbenland region place is a true paradise. The selection of cycling paths reaches from very easy to somewhat hard routes. During the summer, our guests can go on guided Sunday cycling tours with our senior boss Franz. Even if the sun is burning everywhere else, in the peak of the summer it is still comfortable here. Thus, nothing is standing in the way of a stunning, active holiday with great experiences! Colourful, blooming meadows in the spring, an attractive shaded forest during the summer, the red apples on the trees in the fall - this is the scenery while cycling. The guests from the camping park can borrow bicycles + cycling maps as well. Hundreds of kilometres of a long network of marked paths await you!
Plus joy: In Styria, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach!
The culinary variety reaches from the taverns to the high-class restaurants, from a hearty snack to an exquisite dinner - Styria is known as the connoisseur store of Austria. Without much trouble, you find products directly from farms on your plate in the restaurants: ham, cheese, fish, apples, meat, bread and of course the wine. From the pumpkins that light up the fields in the fall you can get strudel, soup, schnitzel and a lot more. The emblem of the regional cuisine is the pumpkin seed oil. If you try it once, you will never want anything else on your salad.
We are in the middle of nature, yet not secluded. Thanks to the central location, the Zirbenland region is the perfect starting point for numerous excursions. Only an hour away you will find the regional capital of Graz with a lot of other attractions are nearby. Whether nature or architecture, athletic challenges or day trips, a visit to the museum, an evening in the theatre or simply just eating well - you will never be bored with this diverse area of recreational activities! Use the pole position of your apartment in the green heart of Austria and try something new every day!
