2 Week Ischia Stay

We had a very nice stay in Piedimonte at this flat. We are a family of four with two younger children and there was plenty of room. The beds were ample and firm. The kitchen was well appointed but did lack some of the basics like salt, sugar, dish washing soap. The bathroom was nice and large but the shower tap adjustment was quite sensitive and the hot water was scalding at times. The temperature was quite pleasant at night for sleeping notwithstanding the lack of air conditioning or ceiling fans. We never did figure out the TV but that was not a big problem. There are lots of amenities quite nearby which made life simple. The proprietors mother-in-law (nona) lives upstairs which is handy for any problems that may arise. The nona was very friendly and generous giving us tomatoes and other gifts throughout our stay. The proprietors sister-in-law lives just next door which was handy one time when we locked ourselves out. Her name is Ute. Ute helped familiarize us with what to do with our garbage as there was no instructions on site. The flat is well situated for buses going to town and to the Beaches. We highly recommend San Montana beach which, though far to reach, was worth the effort! The lemon tree and basil plants in the enclosed courtyard were a delight as well. It was very helpful to have a good washing machine for our lengthy stay. The clothes dry very quickly on the line. We quite enjoyed our stay
