Christmas Barbados Style

Having just returned from a two week stay in the bungalow section of this property I can only say that the property came up to expectations with regards to facilities, but with two boys in the 10-14 year age group the idea of managing without a car was not for us, but we got over that problem using a car hire company taken from a list provided by Mr Yarde. Also arriving at dusk on Christmas Eve does not help with first impressions as the island obviously closes on Christmas Day, which we knew from previous visits, and finding food without transport was a challenge but once we found the main road the "mini-bus" got us in to Bridgetown in the usual hell raising way, for some food shopping. Come Christmas Day morning with the sun shining and the neighbourhood seen clearly we were happier with our situation. The accomodation was very acceptable with a much appreciated pool and games room that the boys enjoyed and the neighbours were very friendly. We would have no hesitation in returning to "Eullen Ville" if we were to return to Barbados, but we do think that a car should be considered as advisable. Anyhow a car does give you a chance to visit the many quiet out of he way beaches and places of interest such as Harrisons Cave, plus try many of the good restaurants that are spread across the island.
