Near Kavalos you find the vacation apartment house “An der Mühle” (gr. ston milo) on the island Lefkada. The apartment has 1 bedroom for 2 people and a couch for 1 person in the living room. There you’ll find a phone, DVD player, TV and internet and the modern kitchen with full equipment. In the garden and on the terrace there are seating accommodations and deck chairs or the stone oven and the big outdoor barbeque. Family friendly, no pets and a winter-residence.

Several paths lead from the hillside out into the surrounding countryside – perfect for long walks in the unique olive groves and vineyards which make this region so attractive. There are some shops and simple restaurants (“taverna”) in the nearby village Kavalos, 0.5 km, or Lazarata, 1.5 km. And in the town of Lefkada with the new harbour is good shopping.

How to get there:: By air: From several German cities to Athens and then by bus or fly to Corfu and then by water aircraft to Lefkada-Marina. By car: From Italy with the car ferries to the ports of Igoumenitsa or Patras. A bridge leads to the island.

Activities:: The island offers a large variety of sport and recreational facilities apart from walking, hiking and horse-riding. The cliffy coast is great for paragliding and the waters below for diving and snorkelling. Long sandy beaches are ideal for swimming and bathing and the Bay of Lefkada a paradise for surfing, sailing and kite-surfing. The island has many beautiful mountain villages and secluded beaches. Bike rental, biking, fishing, hiking, horse-back riding, jogging, paragliding, scuba diving, swimming, tennis, water sports, windsurfing.
