The villa Ocean Key is located in south-west Florida in the city of Cape Coral in a peaceful side street on Thunderbird Lake. From here you can get to the Gulf of Mexico by boat in a few minutes. This villa was updated in 2008 with new pool facilities and new furnishing and is enchanting from the first moment. The view of the lake, the reflecting sunrises and sunsets, the tranquility and the large, heated pool with a jacuzzi will immediately give you a holiday feeling. The villa Ocean Key offers space for 6 people. Equipped with three friendly and peaceful bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, a light, open kitchen with a counter and large dining room directly by the pool facilities and a cozy living room/reading room with a fireplace - the house has about 200 m2 of living space. The Ocean Key villa is located in south-west Florida in the city of Cape Coral. This peninsula is located on the gulf coast & is known as the Venice of America due to its 650 km of canals. Our villa is located in one of the most exclusive locations on Thunderbird Lake, which opens up into the Gulf of Mexico. The villa is located about 25 minutes from the Fort Myers airport. Cape Coral is a peninsula & one of the most beautiful & interesting cities along the Gulf coast. In the north, Cape is connected with the mainland, in the south & west it borders the Gulf of Mexico and in the east is the Caloosahatchee River. In Cape there are about 145,000 residents. The air has been distinguished multiple times & the criminality rate is very low. Cape Coral is a paradise for water sport fans, fishers, golfers & families. There are unlimited possibilities for recreational activities like water parks and adventure parks. Also larger parks like Disney, Buschgarden, etc. can be reached in a few hours.

  • Because we use the villa as a family with 3 children, the house has excellent furnishing. The villa has an incomparable charm. The rental price per day for up to 6 people for the villa is $165.00 (shoulder season) and $185.00 (peak season) plus 11% legal taxes and $125 final cleaning. During Easter, Christmas and New Years, we charge a seasonal fee of 20% and a minimum rental time of 1 week. Included in the rental price are bed sheets, towels, pool care, garden care, trash pick up, TV, internet and telephone fees (regional) and water consumption. Electricity is included in the rental price for $35.00 per week. The security deposit is $450.00 and is to be paid upon the beginning of your holiday. You can additionally book periodic cleaning. We would also be happy to rent an insured boat or a jet ski of your choice. We wish you a stunning holiday by us.

Notes: Since we use our villa as a family with three children, the house has excellent furnishing. The villa has an incomparable charm. The living room has a 52' flat screen TV with Bose sound system and a peaceful reading corner with an electric fireplace. The pool facilities have a cozy sitting corner with a practical kitchen serving hatch for morning brunch or evening BBQ. Here you will also find a small flat screen TV. However, you will hardly have to use with this with the fantastic view of the lake. The pool is extra large, heated and connected with a Jacuzzi in order to cover all needs at the pool. You will love the Ocean Key villa.

Destinations: There are 40 different parks and lakes in Cape Coral and countless dream beaches like Sanibel, Captiva and Fort Myers Beach. You will find water parks, fun parks and everything that is fun directly on site. Not far, only a few hours drive, you will find Disney World with all of its attractions, Buschgarden and countless other parks.

Arrival by airplane and car: There are flights from Germany with Air Berlin from Dusseldorf and Munich non-stop to south west Florida International Airport in Fort Myers (only 20 minutes from our villa). Alternatively, a lot of other airlines fly to the airport in Miami (2.5 hours from our villa) or Orlando (3.5 hours from our villa). Rental cars can be booked inexpensively at the airport through agencies like Alamo, hertz, Budget and can be given back to the airport. For booking, a credit card is usually needed. You will receive driving directions to the Ocean Key villa in advance from our management.

Security standards: Our holiday home was built in 1984 and was completely modernized by us from July-November 2008. The holiday home has a completely new pool landscape, new bathrooms, a new kitchen and completely new furnishing. In the villa you will find a hotel safe for your valuables that is to be used at your own risk. There are also hurricane shutters and hurricane kits available in the case of emergencies. These can be installed and described by the management if needed. The management on site is familiar with the security procedures.

We had a wonderful vacation here at the Villa Ocean Key.The house was absolutely beautiful! and very comfortable. It was just like being at home only way better!! Great location, nice quite neighborhood. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need. We were here with another couple and would absolutely stay here again....but longer next time. The property manager (Nicola) was always available and willing to get us whatever we needed...altough we didn't really need her for anything. The pool was very clean (cleaned at least once per week). Traumhafter Florida Urlaub mit der Villa Ocean Key

Wir haben mit der Villa eine ausgezeichnete Behausung mit hohem Komfort und Ausstattung vorgefunden. Sehr sauber und aufgeräumt haben wir die Behausung angetroffen. Kleidung und Handtücher hatten wir definitiv zu viele eingepackt. Für die Ostküste hat die Villa eine tolle Lage direkt an dem schönen Thunderbird Lake (oder Springfisch-See ;-) und die Ausrichtung mit Morgen- und Abend-Sonne könnte nicht besser sein. Nicola - die Hausverwalterin - stand als prima deutschsprachige Ansprechpartnerin jederzeit mit Tipps für den Urlaub zur Seite. Nie haben wir uns in einem Urlaub so zu Hause gefühlt und empfehlen die Villa uneingeschränkt weiter.

Empfehlungen:
-Auto über den gesamten Zeitraum mieten.
-2 Stunden nach Everglade City und Airboat Tour mitmachen! Keine Alligatoren in dem Salzwasser, aber echt Fun!
-Wir haben einen Trip nach Orlando und einen nach Miami (jeweils mit Übernachtung) von der Villa aus geplant und früh morgens angetreten. Lies sich prima über Notebook und die vorhandene Internetverbindung planen. Seaworld, Kennedy Space Center, Islamorada, Miami und Fort Myers (Saw Grass) konnten wir so in unserer Tour mit aufnehmen.

We were very satisfied with the villa and its high-level comfort and equipment. We encountered the location very clean and tidy. We packed definitely too many clothing’s and towels. The villa has a very good location at the east coast right on the beautiful Thunderbird Lake (or jumping-fish lake ;-) The alignment with morning and evening sun could not be better. Nicola - the property manager - stood as native German speaking contact person anytime with tips for the holidays to our side. We never felt more at home in a holiday and absolutely recommend the villa.

Recommendations:
-Rent a car over the entire vacation period.
-Drive 2 hours towards Everglade City and make an Airboat tour! No gators because of saltwater, but it's really fun!
-We made a trip to Orlando and one to Miami (and stayed overnight)...all planned in the villa. We planned everything via notebook and the existing internet connection. So we were able to include Seaworld, Kennedy Space Center, Islamorada, Miami and Fort Myers (Saw Grass) in our tour.
