Postira is a holiday resort on the north coast of the island of Brac in Middle Dalmatia. Supetar harbour on the island of Brac is connected to the mainland via daily boat routes to Split and Makarska. Thanks to its location, Postira has evolved to become a harbour and fishing village. The fertile fields further inland give Postira's farmers good fruit from which delicious specialties and excellent wines are made. Postira is beautiful at every time of the year; in January, the almond trees blossom, but also around carnival time, when the winds clear the sea and when vineyards and fig groves bloom. In summer, the whole place is livened up by numerous events and tourists from all parts of the worlds. The beaches are packed, a tasty smell of barbecue hangs in the air and when the summer comes to an end, you can rejoice over the song of the grape, fruit and olive picker.
