Gamberaia has been the name of our house for a very long time, so it was a natural name choice for our family run nursery when we opened it in 1989. On the same premises where we produce and sell outdoor garden plants stand our renovated farmhouse and converted barn which preserve the characteristics of a Tuscan farmhouse, for anyone who wants a taste of country life. For your farmhouse holiday, you can choose to stay either in a newly renovated independent portion of our farmhouse or in the stone cottage, which was once a barn. We are only 15 km from Florence so you can visit the sights of Florence and Tuscany easily and enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside at the same time.

The cottage is independent, comfortable and spacious and can sleep up to 5 people. On two floors, the sleeping area upstairs can sleep 3 people in a king size double bed and a single bed. The living area with a working fireplace, for which we provide the wood, has a very comfortable double sofa bed. The dining area opens onto the fully equipped kitchen. The cottage has its own private garden with table and chairs.

We are in an ideal position for traditional tourism. Fiesole, the Chianti area and the Mugello are just 15 minutes away, and as we are only 15km from Florence, you can easily discover its historical treasures without the inconvenience of city life. There are several ways to reach the centre. You can catch the coach, which passes along the main road close to us; you can catch the train from the station in the next village or you can park your car on the outskirts of Florence and catch the town bus which leaves regularly and takes you to Piazza del Duomo.
