Beaches:
At the east coast there are many beautiful, romantic little bathing bays. In only a few minutes you can reach the bathing bays of Cala d'Or, the picturesque Cala Mondragó and Cala Santanyí. The bathing bay of Portocolom is only a few minutes away, from here you have a great view to the big natural harbour and the lighthouse. In approx. 40 minutes you can get to the beach 'Es Trenc' which is well known for its Caribbean flair.
Worth seeing:
In the close surrounding there are several daily Mallorcan markets where you can enjoy strolling and buying the fresh fruits and vegetables, leather ware, costume jewelry and local specialities. The market in Santanyí takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Close by there is the fjord-like Cala Figuera, a unique bay with an impressive harbour - it is a must to visit it! The monastery 'Sant Salvador', on a hill close to Felanitx, offers from its 509 m hight a phantastic view over the whole east coast. In Manacor, the third biggest town of Mallorca, you can purchase the famous Majorica pearls. The famous 'Cuevas del Drac' (Drach Caves) of Porto Cristo are only a few kilometers away and a said to harbour the world's largest subterranean lake.
Golfing:
Only a few minutes away is the golf course 'Vall d'Or Golf & Restaurant', the course with the most phantastic view of the island! Other golf courses at the east coast are: La Reserva Rotana, Pula Golf, Golf Son Servera, Son Antem I and Son Antem II.
