Public transport:
The flat is very well connected to public transport. Tram line Nr. 1 stops nearby and takes you every 10 minutes to the city centre in 8 minutes, to Freiburg Main Station in 14 minutes. German railway has a nearby smaller station, Freiburg-Littenweiler, this line carries you up into the Black Forest to Hinterzarten, Titisee and Schluchsee, up to the highest Mountain, Feldberg. There are frequent trains and many busses that allow sightseeing and hiking without a car.
Freiburg offers a variety of tourist attractions. The top attractions is the gothic catheral with its famous steeple and the market surrounding it since medieval times, embedded in the carefully preserved medieval city centre. There is Germany's oldest guest house and many small shops and boutiques. As a University town Freiburg offers a multitude of cultural activities, museums, art galleries and art dealers, renown concerts, cinemas, theatres, public lectures and talks. Enjoy the many cafés, wineries and restaurants with the famous local cuisine. If you wish so, we offer some advice and we offer a guided tour with a focus on either the singular geological situation, the rich history, viticulture or green energy. Spring and autumn suggest tours into the volcanic Kaiserstuhl or Markgräfler Land, discover sunken roads and special nature protection areas. Summer rather suggests visiting the summits of the Black Forest, and the nearby valleys Elztal, Glottertal, Münstertal.
