FAMILY/PET FRIENDLY- MT SHASTA VIEW! - SLEEPS 12@ HISTORICAL CHARMER DOWNTOWN

Mount Shasta Condo Rental Photos and Description

Great Energy - light - room! Bring the fam for a great vacation - fabulous views

Uptown/Downtown is a special home with lots of light and love. Built in the 1920s, it was originally a home for the Italian family who ran the small grocery store below. The original pine flooring has been preserved and the rounded arched doors give way to an era gone by. Lots of charm here.

It was lovingly restored back to its charming splendor with an additional bathroom added along with a deck which boasts magnificent views of Mt. Shasta. In the 1950s, this property was featured in Better Homes and Gardens for its beautiful landscaping and open yard, which is still in place.

Situated on Chestnut Street, you can walk downtown for shopping and restaurants, and of course the famous Mt. Shasta Supermarket is across the street with those infamous sandwiches you can order and take to the lake or hiking. They also have a deli, wine & beer and supermarket items. For larger groups, you can see if the adjoining property is available to rent - Mt. Shasta Clubhouse - which sleeps 6 people.

The kitchen is large, sunny, and well stocked with everything you need for large gatherings. The BBQ is handy just outside on the deck. And of course, your pooches are welcome. There is a table in the kitchen for hanging out or playing games, and there is also a formal dining room table which seats an additional 6. The living room is large and the big windows will give you a bird's eye view of the surrounding mountains and some of the roof tops of downtown buildings. Yes, there is the train that winds its way through town so you will year it blow now and again.

The bedrooms are nice sized with the two front bedrooms hosting a double and twin bed each. All new bedding and decor was recently added. The back bedroom has two bunk beds which will sleep four. Additionally, another two can sleep on the sofa sleeper.

The decor is a bit Pottery Barn style with alpine touches and comfy pillows. A professional decor added lots of great touches for a comfortable stay.

Note: There are stairs going up as this home is on the second level, for those who need help bringing up luggage, please just let our office staff know.

This home has years and years of repeat guests who love the layout and amenities and also the large yard. Countless snowmen are photographed each year as well. We know you will love your stay here.

We fell in love with this old historical building in Mt Shasta and completely refunished it with a retail store (children's shop) on street level and a large condo upstairs. There is lots of history to the building and it's right in town.

Mallory Mason purchased this condo in 2002

Freshly decorated in Pottery Barn style, this apt has fabulous views of the surrounding mountains and tons of afternoon light. Great Mt Shasta views from the back. Warm and inviting with lots of sleeping room - bring your pooch too!

Need a kayak? If I am not on the lake, use mine!

PLEASANT STAY

  • 3 of 5
1.House is old with antique items in it. we liked that.
2.House is in great locations where mountain can be seen very closely and all the other scenic locations are near by.
3.House is not maintained properly, as it is old house
locks doesn`t work properly. rest room locks were the worst of them.
4.some of bulb/lamps were not proper, they were in auto on-off mode.
you will feel scared in night.
5.AC was not working. Could not found the way to switch it on.
6.Internet was too too slow, signals were very weak.
7. TV is not configured correctly, we could only found satellite channels which were paid, rest nothing.
overall stay was good, as we explored more things outside of the house.

Owner's Response: Thanks for letting us know of needed repair items. We have a new internet/satellite/tv system ready to be installed. The AC did not work because it is a window unit being installed this week. We tried to keep the antique feel of the home but will change up the locks if not usable. We appreciate your feed back.
