Noelle Pearson purchased this house in 2010
I purchased this raw acre of Jungle because I truly enjoy the serenity and peace of this area of Hawaii. The laid back feel and slow pace is just what everyone needs once in a while ! I have worked for nearly 4 years clearing and manicuring the grounds into an enjoyable oasis and a cozy private home tucked away behind the foliage is your to enjoy while you can.
My Villa is the closet thing to the comforts of home that you will find with attention to detail in the craftsmanship and hand built rock garden walls. I have planted thousands of Trees, Palms, Orchids, Ferns, Birds of Paradise, Ginger, Hibiscus plants to name a few. I pride myself on the grounds and the natural beauty of the native plants.
Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful getaway. It was wonderful to be greeted by a full fresh fruit bowl, including papayas, plantains, lemons and limes from the property. Also, the bouquets of garden flowers were amazing! It was such a treat to wander the property and drink in the exotic plants and flowers (labeled well for us mainlanders!) - what a relaxing place! The house was spotless, the DVD/cable was in working order, and the kitchen was well-equipped. There was also snorkel gear, boogie boards, water shoes and bikes available. Location was convenient for exploring Volcanoes National Park and the east coast, including the tidepools. I would definitely recommend this house for families, couples, etc.
Although I didn't have my family with me this trip it was a great location and setup for any family looking to explore the east side of the Big Island. Gardens were nice to walk through and living room area has one of the most comfortable setups experienced on the Big Island. Easy access to garage from house makes loading and unloading a snap. Very convenient location to Pahoa and the surrounding activities including Volcano National Park. Strongly recommended.
This house was so much more than we expected; the pictures online do not do it justice! We were welcomed with a beautiful fruit basket and our own personal gardens, with each flowers/plants labeled. The house was well equipped with the basic stuff and more; bicycles, snorkeling items and even some coffee. The beds were superb; better than what we have at home! The location in Pahoa, which is south of Hilo, was perfect for our interests; lava flows, volcano, etc. And very easy to find! There were 4 of us; two couples. The size of the house and kitchen was certainly big enough for us, although we didn't spend that much time there; too busy! I would highly recommend this for a vacation house.
We enjoyed staying at the house, nice house, quiet area. The house was clean and Ron was very helpful.
Our family of 2 adults and 3 teens totally enjoyed this great little house in Pahoa!. Morning and evening bike rides were a big hit as well as the board games. The house was very clean and our great host even had some shampoo and conditioner stocked. The beds were very comfortable and we fell asleep each night listening to the frogs and waking to the birds.
We are a family of 4 including a 9 years old and a 7 months old. It was also the first time that we were using VRBO. That was our second trip to Hawaii and it was important for us to go a few days on that side of the island for the incredible snorkeling in the tide pool, the hot spring, the volcano park, the jungle and Hilo. We found that lovely, peaceful, quiet, secure, clean and almost new house and we loved it. Ron was a super nice host, always there if you need anything and he did and still do an amazing job with is beautiful yard. It's like a botanical garden! The house is well located and close to everything. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!!! Thanks again Ron for everything!
