I am a native Oregonian that has spent the last 20 years managing commercial construction projects and decided to retire in Paradise.
Noelle Pearson purchased this house in 2010
I purchased this raw acre of Jungle because I truly enjoy the serenity and peace of this area of Hawaii. The laid back feel and slow pace is just what everyone needs once in a while ! I have worked for nearly 4 years clearing and manicuring the grounds into an enjoyable oasis and a cozy private home tucked away behind the foliage is your to enjoy while you can.
My Villa is the closet thing to the comforts of home that you will find with attention to detail in the craftsmanship and hand built rock garden walls. I have planted thousands of Trees, Palms, Orchids, Ferns, Birds of Paradise, Ginger, Hibiscus plants to name a few. I pride myself on the grounds and the natural beauty of the native plants.
This house is definitely paradise in Pahoa! We had 5 people in our party, 4 adults and one child and there was plenty of room. The use of the snorkeling gear, fins and boogie boards was a total bonus. We had a lot of fun riding the bikes around the neighborhood. The grounds are stunning and the plants are labeled for ease of identifying. The house was very clean, bright, cheerful and the beds were totally comfortable. We fell asleep each night listening to the sounds of the rain forest, amazing!
Ron was so helpful showing us around the area and taking us to the fun spots for snorkeling, sightseeing and local attractions.
This house was a perfect spot to come "home" to after a long day of exploring the Big Island.
We stayed for almost three weeks and couldn't have been more happy with the house. Everything was very clean, modern and comfortable. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed, including a bowl of fresh fruit! Ron was very welcoming and made us feel like we were visiting a family member. The grounds outside were beautiful. The house is only a short drive to many different locations and a relaxing place to come home to at the end of the day. We loved the "jungle" sounds at night and left rested and eager to return.
I felt like a queen with my own private royal gardens amidst a lush rainforest. The house was modern and very clean. The location was great - close to the lava flow and ocean yet snuggled quietly in a rainforest. And Ron was a wonderful host living next door.
I have to say the best part of our trip to Big Island was staying at Noelle's house! This house was amazing! The best place we have booked during our stay in Hawaii. Every detail was thought of: extra towels, a fruit basket to welcome us, fresh flowers throughout the home, laundry detergent in the wash room, even travel mugs for us girls to take coffee in! The grounds were gorgeous and so well maintained, trees and fruits of every type! The house was spotless and I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the island!
We loved it here! I would only come back to Big Island if I get to stay here again! Thank you so much, we loved our stay!
This is a lovely house in a very nice residential neighborhood near Pahoa. If you want fancy-schmacy, this is not a resort -- but if you want a laid-back, modern, comfortable, CLEAN, everything-you-need place to come home when you're done going to the tidepools, or visiting Pahoa, or going up into Volcanoes Nat Park, this is it. Ron has created GORGEOUS landscaping with papayas, pineapple, limes, avocado, orchids, all kinds of other flowers, etc. So much fun to walk around the property and admire what he's done! Take him up on his offer to show you around the local spots :) And definitely head down to Uncle Robert's if you there on a Wed eve. We were there for five nights and would have stayed longer if we didn't already have reservations in Kona!
This almost new house is super clean, no bugs, and beautifully landscaped. The neighborhood is pristine with paved roads that are great for walking. Our dog loved it too. The beds have memory foam pillow tops which made sleeping a dream. In a sentence, it is sunny and bright with everything a traveler would need. We ate pineapples, papayas, and bananas from the property's garden! I am glad we chose this rental.
