Cabo Matapalo House Rental Photos and Description
Room for up to 6 persons. Two Large Bedrooms 1 Large Living Room/Dining Room
Casa Jungua is built purely from greenheart woods and has an extremely low impact on the environment yet offers a level of elegance not matched by many. The house is exclusively solar powered yet features washer / dryer, refrigerator / freezer and other amenities one would expect from a “wired” home.
Casa Jungua has a large back deck AKA “the monkey porch” for the daily acrobatic jungle shows (performed by all four species of the Osa monkeys) and a full-length front porch providing breathtaking views of the sea and cooling breezes. In the house, when the large expanse of windows and doors are open you can experience the Osa signature 'open air living' yet with the comfort and security of SCREENS.
The front yard features a plunge pool and the signature element of the property – a pavilion that is suspended over the jungle and looks down on Lower Matapalo and the gulf. From this vantage point our guests enjoy watching the sunrise, a wide variety of wildlife, surfers, fishing boats, waves and humpback wales while dining, enjoying a morning coffee or happy hour after a long day of hiking, fishing or simply lounging.
Casa Jungua is built atop an exclusive bluff (with incredible hiking trails) far off the main road which not only affords great privacy and quiet but cooling breezes and incredible views. And the beach, where you can surf, swim or snorkel, is only a short hike down.

About Edward & Lynn O'Hara
The O'Haras fell in love with the Osa Peninsula at first sight and their love has only grown stronger in the years that have followed. Because they care deeply about the environment they decided to build as responsibly as they could. To help preserve one of the last incredibly bio diverse places on the earth, they made sure their footprint was light. Their hope is that more and more families visit places like this, experience its indescribable beauty and come to the understanding that by our every day actions, we can all become better inhabitants and proud stewards of this beautiful planet.
