A beautifully appointed contemporary 4 bed villa positioned high above the Atlantic coast at Portugal's best golf course. The property has a fully heated 14m free form pool, satellite plasma TV, 4 beds and 3 baths, luxury kitchen and views across Praia D'el Rey to the Atlantic Ocean. The gardens are designed by Harlequin Landscapes of London and the rear faces South West offering views of the Atlantic sunset. All rooms are fantastically furnished and offer access to a central sound and intercom system.

Nearest Airport : Lisbon at 70 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway : Junction 13 of the A8 from Lisbon airport at 10 Kilometres
Nearest Beach : beach at 300 Metres
Car: recommended

Fly to Lisbon and travel north for about 40 mins. The journey is simple (on the new A8 motorway) and a map is available on request. Lisbon has all the normal car hire companies although transfers can be arranged through the people who manage the property for me.

Obidos in simply fantastic. A medieval walled town that has been named a world heritage site, it offers tasteful shopping and some very fine restaurants. There are bars and cafes and for the photographically minded a never-ending opportunity to point and click. This town is a true jewel in the crown of the region.

Praia D'el Rey translates into The Beach of Kings. The coast is unspoilt and truly spectacular with clean white sand as far as the eye can see. This part of Portugal is the best kept secret for many and offers the highest standards for the discerning holiday maker or golfer

Other Activities: There is a tennis club on the site, often used for national competitions

The villa and surroundings actually surpass the description. My family was thrilled with the spacious interiors, beautiful decor and well-equipped kitchen. The pool is much larger than most private home pools, and was heated to the utmost comfort. Around it are beautiful gardens and many comfortable lounge chairs and tables for socializing.
The beach and the gold course are five minutes away. The golf course is set up like Pebble Beach, skirting the ocean, on the cliffs above the beach. The coast line is rugged and beautiful. Less than one hour away are medieval castles, fishing villages, outdoor markets, stunning monuments, great restaurants.
We loved our week at the villa and will try to stay again. The house and the site are truly spectacular.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
