The region is famous for the amazing history. There are more ancient sites on The Peloponnese than in any other area in the world. So much so that sites which would become major tourist attractions on most islands are almost forgotten. Whole cities like Kato Samaki or Lepreon or Ancient Figalea (with marbles in The British Museum) remain largely unvisited except by archaeologists. You are free to wander around alone and free. This is not because people don't care but because they are all visiting even more famous sites like Ancient Olympia (Home of The Olympic Games), The Temple of Apollon, The Epicurean (Vasses), Mycenae etc. This is all apart from the unspoilt coast with 60km of undeveloped beaches. This truly is the undiscovered Greece.
