Gecko/Frangipani/Coconut/Iguana/Trupial apartment has got 1 roomy sleeping room (2x2m bed) and air condition Pelican has 2bedroom, living room with kitchenette, studio couch, TV, WLAN, internet access, telephone, spacious and tasteful bathroom with shower (hot and cold water), wooden terrace with aesthetic furniture. Shutter windows in the whole apartment provide a healthy and pleasurable atmospheric environment. Handy: 110 and 220 Volt is available. Kolibri: optional pool access (fee) and a combined sleep-and-living-room (25 m²)

The 5x12m big, chlorine-free pool (most sophisticated salt-electrolyse-technique) in front of the apartments and the tropical garden invite guests of Gecko, Frangipani, Trupial, Iguana, Pelican and Coconut to relax completely.

Our accomodation at Jan Sofat was perfect. The place was spotless, the bed comfortable and everything we needed was there. Having the pool at the back with such a beautiful seating area was lovely , but then we had our own private balcony at the front which was an added bonus.

We found a whole range of beaches and the snorkelling was excellent. We especially enjoyed the wreck where you could see it all by just snorkelling and our boat trip on the Mermaid to Keine Curacao. But the national park was equally as amazing, with wonderful views and a fantastic array of wild and plant life to see, as were the igunanas on Santa Marta beach. The car was essential.(Thank you Jennifer)

We enjoyed all our meals out ranging from The Golden Seahorse with its beach cafe atmosphere but wonderful fish and chips/ konch and chips; to the Sculpture Garden with it's fine dining; the all you can eat buffet at Jaipure; as well as ribs at both the Ribs factory and the Riff. But the barbeque was also so tasty with Argentine Steaks and local fish easily available.

Thank you for your hospitality on New Years Eve. The barbeque was delicious and I doubt I'll ever see fireworks of the same ilk again, unless we return to Curacao.

Our journey home was eventful as we missed our connection in Miami: the immigration queue was so long it took over 2hours ! When we return to your part of the world we will aviod the US if at all possible for that reason alone and I would advice other travellers to do the same. We ended up staying in a hotel in Miami on the Friday and flying up to Chicago on Saturday to connect with an overnight flight to Heathrow getting in at 6:25 on Sunday morning. So work on Monday was bit grim.

What a wonderful trip we have had! We spent three weeks here and enjoyed every day. we especialty enjoyed getting to know Thoralf + Friederike, as well as the other guests from Germany. The community at 29 Jan Sofat has been 100% welcoming.

We can both say with confidence that the vacation has been a highlight in our lives. Thanks so much, and we look forward to visiting again.
