The small village of Dürrnhaar is surrounded by woods which are very nice for walking and cycling. The village of Aying (5 min. by car) with it's brewery and marvellous Alp mountain panorama, has some very nice Bavarian food places and beer garden. For those who like to go for King Ludwigs castle, can reach Nymphenburg palace or Herrenchiemsee in ca. 45 min. by car. The local train station gives you a quick lift to middle of Munich's city (Marienplatz), where you can relax, while enjoying a beer at the Hofbrauhaus, go for some shopping in the shopping area or visit cultural places. For the youngsters and techies in your family, don't miss the Deutsches Museum in Munich. It is Europes largest technology museum and can easily satisfy a rainy day.
