Words that come to mind when thinking of this property: secluded, convenient, quiet, artful, peaceful, serene, colorful, comfortable. I could go on--the owner has thought of everything that matters to travelers. My husband and I spent two lovely weeks in the casita, cooking meals in the well-provisioned, gourmet kitchen, lounging outside by the pool, taking long walks in the lovely, quiet neighborhoods in the area. The owner is friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive. A small gourmet grocery store is just around the corner, and I walked to it most days to get locally grown, fresh fruits and veggies, deli items, baked goods and highest quality meats and fish. Across from the grocery is an amazing restaurant, Alta Eats, which has an eclectic, mouth-watering menu. Patticakes, an award-winning bakery, desserts and coffee house, is across the street from the grocery as well. Within reasonable driving distance you'll find the best of Altadena, Pasadena, and beyond: shopping, museums, galleries, botanical gardens, and all the diverse cultural offerings the LA metropolitan area offers. We were thrilled to find this little gem after so many years of searching--and we will definitely return!
My husband and I were so pleased with this property. We loved our entire stay! The casita is very comfortable for two, and quite private. It is at the back of a much larger estate property. It has a gourmet kitchen we used most of the time. Every day we woke up and looked at the San Gabriel mountains and felt we were really somewhere special. The garden is both wonderful and wild. The decor is comfortable and artistic.
Nice to stay private, close to a big city. having our own pool, terrace and a lovely big house. Nice people who always help if needed. In the evening it was like to live in the countryside or in the mountains. the only thing bad was tempraturen in the shower, but it would soon be repaired. Great value for money.
This is a great place for a couple. Very private and comfortable. A gem of a place. Pool and outdoor area is huge and very pretty. The owner was helpful and very nice.
We spent a week at this property and enjoyed the privacy. Trish the owner was very accommodating and we only saw her when we wanted to. Plenty of living space, nice large pool and hot tub. Liked having a washer and dryer in the rental. Close to major roads and yet neighborhood very quiet. We will defiantly be back.
It's cheerful, comfortable, private and more than a little convenient for shopping, entertaining, etc. The owner had thought about just about everything needed to make our visit easy. We visited with our dog... and on our last night we prepared a poolside dinner
