You'll enjoy it here, whatever kind of holiday you're looking for. This house is surrounded by fields and a large playground. We welcome families with children. Upon request we can provide morning bread rolls. The railway station is 5 minutes away on foot, with trains to Titisee, Schluchsee and Freiburg. The health spa and sports grounds are nearby. In 3 minutes by car you can get to a discount warehouse. During the week a ski bus runs to the Feldberg, for which the bus stop is 3 minutes on foot away. The cross country track is 5 minutes away.

Falkau is tranquil, lying at 1000 m above sea level and part of the Feldberg district of the Upper Black Forest, the highest mountain range in Germany. The oldest, largest nature reserve in Baden-Württemberg is on the Feldberg. The Feldberg guest card (Konus card) gives you free local transport by bus or train and other attractive offers and rebates. Europark, the huge leisure park, is only about an hour away by car. Local sports include fishing, bathing, cucling, gliding, golf, in-line skating, mountain bikes, riding, sailing, skiing, surfing, diving, tennis and walking.

Feldberg - Highest mountain in the Black Forest: Feldberg, a centre for fresh air therapy, with its suburbs of Altglasshütten, Neuglasgütten, Bärental, Falkau und Feldberg (the town) is part of the largest, oldest nature reserve in Baden-Württemberg. There's a wonderful walking area and lovely views around the highest mountain. And the largest winter sports facilities in Baden-Württemberg are on the Feldberg too. There are 28 lifts, including 4 chair lifts and 24 cabin lifts. Rust Europapark is an hour away by car.

Wer sich wie zu Hause fühlen, viel Platz genießen und auf dem riesigen Balkon die Seele baumeln lassen will, der ist im Ferienhaus Basler (2 große Ferienwohnungen) am richtigen Ort. Das Gelände rund um das Haus ist super gepflegt, Kinder finden reichlich Spielmöglichkeiten. Die Wohnungen sind tiptop und sehr gut ausgestattet. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter.
Wir kommen schon seit 18 Jahren (bis auf einmal immer im Frühling oder Sommer, sodass wir über die Wintersportmöglichkeiten nichts sagen können, aber sie sollen super sein!). In der wärmeren Jahreszeit kann man im Feldberggebiet viel unternehmen, wandern, schwimmen, Boot fahren auf dem Schluchsee und Titisee - Besucherbergwerke oder die Erdmannshöhle in Hasel sowie Heimat-, Bienen-, Uhrenmuseen besichtigen - geführte Touren mit dem Feldberg- oder Wutachranger - Shopping oder Kultur in Freiburg... und... und... und... - man kann gar nicht alles aufzählen! Der Schwarzwald ist bestens geeignet für Familien mit Kindern, Singles, Paare, Senioren - einfach für jedermann und jedefrau.
Zwei Minuten vom Ferienhaus entfernt befindet sich bereits das erste Restaurant mit sehr guter badischer Küche, und eine Reihe weiterer gepflegter oder auch uriger Lokale, Cafés und Gasthöfe sind in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Wir waren ein Wochenende in der ferienwohnung und haben eine sehr große und saubere Ferienwohnung, sowie nette Gastgeber und ein super Preisleistungsverhältnis vorgefunden :-).
