Overview

Sarasota Bungalow Rental Photos and Description

*** Newly remodeled historic property in the heart of Laurel Park, SARASOTA'S ONLY TRUE WALK-TO-DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD ***

Three Palms Bungalow (named for the three 75 foot Washingtonia palms in front) is an immaculately restored and updated 1925 wood bungalow in Laurel Park, one of Sarasota's oldest, most charming, and best located residential neighborhoods.

Step out the front door and you can WALK...not drive...in less than 10 minutes to ALL of the following: Downtown Main Street, Sarasota Bayfront Park and Marina Jacks (with available kayak, paddleboat, aqua cycle, sailboat, powerboat, and waverunner rentals), Burns Court Historic District (only 1 block away), dozens of restaurants, the Saturday downtown farmer's market, shopping, art galleries, spas and salons, the symphony, the opera, the downtown public library, the 12 court Payne Park tennis center, two movie theaters, Selby Botanical Gardens, Towles Court art district, Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, and much more. A little farther away, but still reachable by bike or a 10 minute drive are the shops and restaurants of St. Armand's Circle (3 miles) and the white quartz sands and clear blue waters of Lido Beach (3.5 miles) and Siesta Key Beach (7 miles). ***Note that Siesta Key was voted the #1 beach in the entire USA in 2011. It is only a 10-15 minute drive away and the parking is free!

The house retains all of its 1925 charm, but with many of today's modern amenities. It is a 982 square foot two bedroom/one bath wood bungalow, with 15 foot vaulted ceiling in the large living room. The kitchen has brand new Caesarstone countertops, all new appliances, a two seat countertop breakfast bar, and round four seat dining table surrounded by large sun filled windows. The all new spa inspired bathroom features subway tiled floors and walls and an all glass walk-in shower. Both bedrooms have queen size beds with new plush mattresses, nightstands, and reading chairs. The master bedroom includes french doors that open up to the private fenced in back yard with new 350 square foot brick paver patio. Other amenities include large screen HDTV with DVR and DVD player, wireless high speed internet, full size washer and dryer, and gas grill.

Charming bungalow in a great location!

  • 4 of 5

Three Palms was a very comfortable, fully equipped home in a great location. We were able to walk to the waterfront, downtown, artists alley and the botanical gardens. The bungalow was newly renovated and very clean. The decor was eclectic and in keeping with the period. It is located in Laurel Park, a charming downtown area of Sarasota. There's a great restaurant at the end of the street, some nice shops close by along with some fun antique stores. We chose Three Palms for it's location and it was perfect! If it had a plunge pool we'd give Three Palms 5 stars!

Perfect location, adorable cottage

  • 5 of 5

One could not want a nicer spot in Sarasota than Three Palms Bungalow for enjoying all the downtown has to offer. We walked everywhere (opera, Van Wesel, restaurants, YMCA, groceries, library) and only used our car for baseball, beach and Ringling. The cottage is beautiful with a wonderful back yard. We particularly enjoyed the keyless entry! The owners were very accommodating and made many excellent suggestions for restaurants and activities. Thanks, Lisa and Jonathon, for two grand weeks in town!

This was my childhood home!

  • 5 of 5

I was bumping around on VRBO for our yearly summer trip to Sarasota - for me.. my home! When I came across the very house I grew up in! I lived in this bungalow, in a lot of it's original form.. not nicely renovated as it is today.... from 1981-1993. I drive by this house each visit with my kids, to see how it changes year to year. This was a real treat to find this on here and see my old room, my old home - changed into a real beauty!

Boy were we Lucky!

  • 5 of 5

A morning cancellation produced a weekly rental and we jumped on the chance to rent this attractively restored and well maintained little bungalow. Small, but spacious feeling, with cathedral ceilings in the living room and adjoining sitting area, this place was just what we needed after the cold weather in the North East. The well equipped eat-in kitchen offered every cooking and serving item you could need and even a few spices for cooking convenience. The terrace in the back provided the perfect spot to enjoy early morning coffee or evening cocktails. The location couldn't be better...several restaurants, a local farmers market downtown and many quaint shops are all within easy walking distance. The Three Palms was just perfect as a home away from home!

Renovated Historic Bungalow in Walkable Laurel Park Area

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we walked in we felt at home. This full of character and fully equipped home has absolutely everything you'll need to enjoy your stay in this Historic Downtown area of Sarasota. All appliances & supplies you could possibly need are well maintained, and allow you to only have to bring your own personal items. Some items we especially enjoyed were the beach bag with towels, beach chairs, umbrella, Bose sound system, huge patio, grill (with extra propane tank), plenty of off street parking, and a safe place to store our bikes. Above all the owners, JD and Lisa, excel at being attentive to any needs you may have. We hope to return to this home away from home.

Outstanding Renovation in a Superb Location!

  • 5 of 5

Cozy, Comfy, Cute, Convenient and Clean! Located in a wonderful and quiet neighborhood within walking distance of all downtown Sarasota has to offer. And the backyard and patio are to die for. We grilled fresh fish 3 nights and simply chilled out in the backyard. If you don't plan a few nights out there, you are not getting the most out this place. Owners have great recommendations on restaurants, shops, sights and more. They are also extremely responsive to any request you may have. Stocked with all you need and has a great washer & dryer. Could not be more pleased. We will return!
