NEW LISTING**RESTORED 1925 BUNGALOW**WALK TO DOWNTOWN**SUMMER SALE NOW**

Sarasota Bungalow Rental Photos and Description

*** Brand new listing! Newly remodeled historic property in the heart of Laurel Park, SARASOTA'S ONLY TRUE WALK-TO-DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD ***

Three Palms Bungalow (named for the three 75 foot Washingtonia palms in front) is an immaculately restored and updated 1925 wood bungalow in Laurel Park, one of Sarasota's oldest, most charming, and best located residential neighborhoods.

Step out the front door and you can WALK...not drive...in less than 10 minutes to ALL of the following: Downtown Main Street, Sarasota Bayfront Park and Marina Jacks (with available kayak, paddleboat, aqua cycle, sailboat, powerboat, and waverunner rentals), Burns Court Historic District (only 1 block away), dozens of restaurants, the Saturday downtown farmer's market, shopping, art galleries, spas and salons, the symphony, the opera, the downtown public library, the 12 court Payne Park tennis center, two movie theaters, Selby Botanical Gardens, Towles Court art district, Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, and much more. A little farther away, but still reachable by bike or a 10 minute drive are the shops and restaurants of St. Armand's Circle (3 miles) and the white quartz sands and clear blue waters of Lido Beach (3.5 miles) and Siesta Key Beach (7 miles). ***Note that Siesta Key was voted the #1 beach in the entire USA in 2011. It is only a 10-15 minute drive away and the parking is free!

The house retains all of its 1925 charm, but with many of today's modern amenities. It is a 982 square foot two bedroom/one bath wood bungalow, with 15 foot vaulted ceiling in the large living room. The kitchen has brand new Caesarstone countertops, all new appliances, a two seat countertop breakfast bar, and round four seat dining table surrounded by large sun filled windows. The all new spa inspired bathroom features subway tiled floors and walls and an all glass walk-in shower. Both bedrooms have queen size beds with new plush mattresses, nightstands, and reading chairs. The master bedroom includes french doors that open up to the private fenced in back yard with new 350 square foot brick paver patio. Other amenities include large screen HDTV with DVR and DVD player, wireless high speed internet, full size washer and dryer, and gas grill.

*** Special note to all baseball fans, especially fans of the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates. We currently still have the month of March 2015 available. March of course means Spring Training in Florida, otherwise known as the Grapefruit League. The Orioles spring training home is at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota (a 5 minute drive away) and The Pirates are at McKechnie Field in Bradenton (only 15 minutes by car). March is a great time to be in Sarasota regardless, but if you're a baseball fan, there is truly no better place to be. Please contact us for details.

WONDERFUL!

  • 5 of 5
Three Palms Bungalow in the Laurel Park neighborhood was the perfect place for us in every way. It comes complete with all the necessary amenities a vacation cottage should have, including a hair dryer, which was a pleasant surprise since I forgot ours. Everything about the house is comfortable, up-to-date; and the inside and out are artfully decorated and landscaped. Once outside, we could walk to the Botanical Gardens; the many restaurants, cafes and shops in Burns Court; to Main Street to hear music at night or visit the excellent independent bookstore down the street; and of course to Bay Front Park for a stroll and the Marina for a sightseeing cruise. Beaches, St. Armand’s Circle, and the fabulous Ringling Museum are just short car rides away.

Thank you JD and Lisa for providing this lovely cottage as a vacation rental. We will definitely be in touch for our next visit to Sarasota!

AS GOOD AS IT GETS.

  • 5 of 5
Charming home. Immaculate. Great neighborhood. Walk to everything (restaurants, Whole Foods, entertainment) downtown. Don't miss Saturdays market. Fenced backyard is a great retreat. Well stocked and everything for your comfort. I would have to rate it the best VRBO I have ever stayed. Owners very polite and responsive even though contact was limited….close if needed…invisible when you don't. Lido Beach is a 10 minute drive making this also a great beach house. We will be back for sure. Bravo. (ok now please don't everyone book it…since we need some open calendar time…but so good I had to be honest)

Owner's Response: Thank you for the "best VRBO" rating! We were hoping people would feel that way when we did all the updates, designed the private back patio, and furnished it the way we would for ourselves. We look forward to having you back again very soon!

CONVENIENT AND CHARMING BUNGALOW

  • 4 of 5
Three Palms is the perfect spot for someone who likes a unique, quiet setting that is convenient to an urban experience. You can walk to farmer's market, restaurants, Whole Foods, even the opera. Beach is a short drive.
The best stocked kitchen of any house we have rented; everything you would want has been anticipated. Newly renovated and comfortably furnished.

GREAT GETAWAY!

  • 5 of 5
Staying in this sweet bungalow was truly delightful. The property was everything it was advertised to be and much more. It was clean, well maintained and very well stocked with anything we needed. The beds are very comfortable and it was so fun to grill in the back yard private patio. One of the best things about our experience, though, was the ideal location it afforded us. Within walking distance were wonderful restaurants and shops. We found an endless number of fun activities in our two weeks at the bungalow. We visited the Mole Marine Aquarium and the Marie Selby Botanical Garden.I would recommend both. We rode bike to the beach, which was a short three mile ride. The beach is one of the best I've walked. Just down the street was a restaurant called Nancy's that probably had THE best pulled pork we've ever tasted. Also within walking distance was Walts Fish Market, a restaurant that had a fun outdoor patio and live music. Only three blocks away was a great restaurant called Indiginous. Superb service and unique food. Great experience. We would recommend this home highly and loved the area.

LOVELY BUNGALOW, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING

  • 4 of 5
We loved this charming home in Laurel Park. The home was beautifully appointed and very clean. The backyard was charming and a wonderful place to sit under the trees and read a book. The owners were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. I have recommended this property to others as a wonderful place to stay. We walked to the bay each day to enjoy the water view and continued our stroll downtown to have lunch. It was a very short drive to the lovely Lido beach. We loved the walkability of the home and the nearby restaurants. We especially liked the Italian café at the end of the street. We would rent this home again.

A PRIVATE AND COZY HAVEN JUST A SHORT WALK TO DOWNTOWN SARASOTA

  • 5 of 5
As a realtor who is constantly looking for great places for my buyers to stay in while they are visiting the area, this bungalow is absolutely one that I will recommend. The restoration and updating are meticulous and it offers comfortable living space and a beautiful back yard area that is pavered and private. Nestled among other homes similar to it on one of the most coveted residential streets of downtown Sarasota, it is quiet an peaceful and yet only a stone's throw to the bustling and exciting Main Street, Pineapple and Palm Avenues and a quick drive to the many other cultural, shopping and beach destinations that make Sarasota such a wonderful place to visit. You will love your stay in this fabulous home.
