Whether it is Carven, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, or Alpine or children's' club - Alfons Pichler, the landlord who is also an accredited ski instructor, will gladly assist you. You can find suitable equipment at our special 'house guest rates' in our sporting goods store 'Ski-ALM'. I will gladly advise you regarding any questions concerning winter conversations. In winter, our town is widely known because of the Biathlon world championships and world cups. Alpine skiing and snowboarding on our snowy Winklmoos/Steinplatte slopes and the local snow-covered ski runs with floodlights, ski tracks and cross-country skiing over 50 km of cross-country ski-tracks, skating in the ice rinks, frolicsome sledging, coach and sledge games or hiking over cleared trails across the idyllic winter landscape are also very popular.
Golf:
The Ruhpolding golf course is picturesquely embedded in a mountain panorama. Lavishly planned with natural habitat, water holes and lots of greenery, this golf course offers ideal conditions for a beautiful game of golf to not only beginners but also advanced players. Ruhpolding is the starting point for an unforgettable golfing holiday. Within 60 minutes you can reach several unique golf courses located in the heart of a golfing region. Golf courses such as GC Berchtesgadener land, GC Schloss Klessheim Salzburg, GC Kössen, GC Reit im Winkl, GC Chieming, GC Kitzbühl and many more are located in the vicinity. Green fee rates: Daily fee for an 18-hole Greenfee valid from Monday till 12 noon Friday is € 45. From 12 noon Friday till Sunday, including Sunday is € 55, only Fridays: '55+' (for seniors) is € 30, Rate for early risers, only for weekdays, till 9:00 am is € 30, (50% discount for students and trainees). You receive a 10% Green fee discount with the Ruhpoldig spa card.
