Enjoy a relaxing stay in one of the hippest neighborhoods in all of Los Angeles in Rennie Place. This gorgeous showplace is set back in one of the quietest neighborhood in Venice, but a block walk to bustling Rose Avenue with it's incredible shops and superb restaurants.
Walk up just one flight of stairs into the open concept living and kitchen/dining area. Huge windows that bring in endless light will surround you as you relax in the living room while watching the HD television. A gas fireplace will keep you toasty on cooler beach nights. The modern kitchen and dining area set to the side of the living area are perfect for the gourmet cook or the cook at heart to create amazing meals. The dining table seats 8 comfortably
From the living area, walk up another flight of stairs to the two master bedroom suites. The first suite features a Queen size bed, a full bathroom with access to a shared roof-top patio complete with private barbecue and seating area. The second bedroom features a queen size bed and a full bathroom.
The apartment is decorated in a modern style with peaceful hues and lots of light during the day, while offering privacy and a great night's sleep of a quiet neighborhood at night. Floors are hard wood and luxury touches abound. All kitchen and bathroom fixtures are both high end and new. As a rare treat in Southern California, this home comes equipped with both central air conditioning and central heat to keep you always at a comfortable temperature.
Our family of 5 stayed here for almost a week to visit several colleges in LA area and enjoy a neighborhood experience in laid back Venice. There weren't any reviews on this property so we took a chance booking it, and we're not disappointed.
Globe made it very easy to book the condo and provided easy instructions and even an app to use for our stay. The condo is tucked onto a quiet, safe street two blocks to several really great restaurants right off Rose and only a 5-10 minute walk to Whole Foods.
There's security gate for entering vehicles and pedestrians, as well as keyless entry for garage and home.
The entire place is 3 levels: garage with washer/dryer, 2 parking spaces and ping pong table, main level with 1/2 bath (be careful with overflow here), nice open kitchen, dining area and TV fireplace room, and bar area. Everything was very clean and furniture was very comfortable.
We did not cook at all during our stay, but it isn't as fully equipped as other rental kitchens we've stayed in....not many spices or tools, but you could cook (gas cooktop).
To get to the third floor, there's a beautiful floating wood straight run staircase (20 steps). No big deal for us, but if you had very small children or anyone with disabilities, this could be a problem.
Third floor included both bedrooms with their own ensuite bathrooms. Both bedrooms are queen beds. Globe provided an air bed as well which fine in second bedroom. Plenty of drawers and closet space. Both beds were comfortable with simple modern decor (no TVs), and decent sheets with duvet covers.
Bathrooms and water pressure, hot water, plenty for all of us. I will say that the towels were a little small and rough and would have expected better considering how nice condo was. We also had to request towels because we only had 4 of them initially. One thing I do want to comment on is the weird/poor overhead lighting in "master" bath. Didn't like it.
It's about a 10 minute walk to Venice beach down Rose avenue. Rose bakery is only about a 5 minute walk for great breakfast dine in or take out. This condo was great and I would completely stay here again because of the location away from Venice boardwalk riffraff but close enough to walk to beach, great bars and restaurants. Also, it felt very safe and clean with modern comfort.
